To Vesa Kokkonen, General Manager of Sveitsi Hotel,
Yesterday you behaved in a very unprofessional way.
I came to Hyvinkää from another city yesterday late evening just to see my close friends from China who were VIP attendees of the Red Carpet event and they invited me there. They were not aware of any special procedures required to invite someone. You insulted both me and them by arrogantly demanding that they pay 300 Euros for me "or I have to go", putting your hands on me and treating me like a criminal.
Two of my friends, who were registered guests, when learned of the situation immediately offered me to take care of it, but I was not comfortable with that and especially with your attitude.
You asked to wait in the lobby, which I did since the event was nearly at the end anyway when I arrived, but apparently the lobby I went to wait was a "wrong lobby", so you came again and in a very rude way nearly pushed me towards the exit with your hands.
When I said "Now you are being really rude", you just called for security. Is this really the right way to treat your visitors, even if there was some misunderstanding about the possibility to invite guests?
It was especially sad for you to show this attitude in front of many respected international guests. It was shocking!
P.S. To be fair, I have to add that the rest of the staff at the Sveitsi Hotel made a good impression, were friendly and professional, including the security who were called to escort me and were surprised themselves. But sometimes just one person's behavior can ruin the whole impression of the place, especially if it is a general manager.
I demand that you apologize if you understood what you...
Read moreVery enjoyable hotel, suitable for holidays and business. As a business traveler I have different requirements than holiday travelers, but I would say I enjoyed both sides of it. The rooms are quite spacious, but filled with furniture. Luckily there is a big cabinet and some drawers to stow your clothing and belongings away. Some complimentary coffee and tea is included, as well as a kettle. A minibar is available where some beers and snacks are stored, available against a fair price. I got the twin room and the beds are comfy. During summer time the airconditioning is available to use. When staying at the hotel you can make use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pool and the gym. As the gym is available for subscribers too, it's a decent gym for a hotel! The breakfast is served from 07:00 on weekdays and on the weekend from 07:30 and offers all you need. Some local breads and pasties, vegetables, fruits, cheese, smoked pulled salmon and yogurts and even ice cream! If you're English, there is bacon and egg too ;) An evening stroll through the woods is possible too, check and inform about the fitness trails which are a couple of...
Read moreGreat place for a staycation! Has tons of activities included like Indoor + outdoor swimming pools, saunas, two proper gyms... The option to do an escape room, play padel or go to the movies are just another plus :) The area looks good for small hikes also.
The rooms were nice and spacious, seemed newly renovated and modern, but honestly could've been a little cleaner (bathroom). Unfortunately no rooms with double beds exist, except in suites, but moving the twin beds together worked quite well. Would be nice if the TVs had an option for your own netflix, youtube etc.
There is a dinner buffet, which was okay and reasonably priced, but lacked a vegetarian main option. The breakfast buffet was versatile though and even had great vegan options on request. Would love to see them added permanently to the standard buffet...
