What a truly amazing place for our 5 night stay, location and staff are amazing. We were promptly picked up at the airport by Nicky the owner who provided lots of information on our drive to the resort. Upon arrival he showed us around our little cabin (Arctic Spa Suite) which included a jacuzzi on the outside deck, sauna next to the bathroom (wet bathroom) a comfortable King size bed and small area with a sink, refrigerator, water kettle and coffee/tea supplies. He also showed us how to use our phones to look for the Aurora/Northern lights and told us they would knock on the door when and if the Aurora came out. We settled in and around 10pm went out in search of Northern lights and it wasn’t long before they started to appear. We were treated to a couple hours of a beautiful display of Northern lights. ||The next morning, we received our daily continental breakfast in a crate, which was an assortment of meats, rolls, hard boiled eggs and juice. Our host, Essi, picked us up and drove us to our activity for the day which was a snowmobile trip on which we saw 2 reindeer and also one of the last sunsets before they entered their “polar night” in which the sun does not rise above the horizon. Our cabin was a little small for us so we talked with Essi/Nicky about moving and we decided on moving to one of the “Harmony” suites the next day. That evening we did the Aurora tour and were not disappointed. We were treated to sausages cooked over a fire and a beautiful display of the Aurora at a local lake. ||We did our dog sled activity the next morning and they helped us move all our things to the Harmony Suite in the afternoon. What a beautiful accommodation. This “cabin” consisted of a full kitchen, bedroom, loft with 2 bedrooms, sauna/bathroom with shower and another bathroom with toilet, as well as the jacuzzi on the deck. Each evening we enjoyed our long drinks/beers in the jacuzzi and sauna. We were able to see the Aurora/Northern lights 4 out of our 5 nights as one night it was snowing. ||We are truly grateful for Nicky, Essi and the shuttle drivers for making our stay with them so amazing- THANK YOU!!!! I am already trying to plan...
Read moreThis is a hard one for me to review. In a nutshell, I didn’t feel the accommodation was value for money. I was convinced by the owner to upgrade to the signature suite that wasn’t yet built as I decided I did want a sauna which my original cabin didn’t have. Nicky sent me some renders of the signature suite that looked amazing! Unfortunately the reality was quite different. Facing the road with snow ploughs going past in the early hours.. snow piled up high blocking the view and there really wasn’t a view when just chilling out in the room as there was much less glass then what was in the images I was sent. The suite felt very unfinished… when I reached out to Nicky with my disappointment he basically said there are pictures on the website and social media.. no one posts pictures of room No10. The breakfast that is delivered daily is the same. Every day. And it’s a continental offering. There is a restaurant planned to be built this summer so hopefully that offers some variety for its guests. The service however was excellent! I can’t speak highly enough of Niksu who was always available to answer queries and did his best to show us the auroras. He booked us restaurants and other activities and always made us feel like it was no trouble at all. It really was the room and the view/outlook that was a big let down for me. Would I recommend this hotel? Maybe a different room. I’d say be very specific when booking about the view you’re looking for (although I felt I was!). Lapland is a special place and you want to be able to see it. Additionally the hot tub had zero outlook.. again not what was described to me on the phone. The images show the idea (render) vs...
Read moreI generally don’t post negative reviews, but this experience left me concerned enough to share, especially for others considering this property.||1. Unsafe Location for Activities Due to Poor Planning:|A major issue we faced was with one of the tours organized by the property. The journey involved crossing a narrow bridge over a flowing river and walking down an extremely slippery path. What made it more concerning was that the guide accompanying us was unfamiliar with the location and was simply following directions provided by her manager. This lack of knowledge and preparation made an already unsafe path even more risky. It was clear that the location had not been properly assessed for guest safety.||2. Poor Execution of the Tour:|While the scenery was undeniably beautiful, the conditions – especially the lack of snow and extreme slipperiness – made it unsuitable for a guided outing. It felt like the tour had not been properly vetted or planned, and the decision to proceed with it was poorly thought out.||3. Misleading Information about the Harmony Suite:|We had booked two Harmony Suites based on the details and images shared with us, which showed amenities like a fireplace. However, this wasnt present in our suites. These features were important to us and played a role in our decision to book, so we were disappointed to find them missing upon arrival. It left us feeling misled and dissatisfied.||While there were some positives, the safety concerns and lack of transparency really overshadowed the experience. Highly recommend people to explore alternative properties in this area and avoid the...
