We spent a Saturday night in a fully booked hotel. We had booked and got a renovated room which was well presented and comfortable. The best part of staying here apart from the fantastic lake views is of course the indoor water park which is included on the rate and closeness to Tampere. We were easilly able to spend the evening and part of the morning in the water park while still managing to do everything we wanted in Tampere. Two long slides. Three warm bubble pools. Small outdoor pool and large indoor pool with wave machine every hour is what you can expect plus two regular sauna and a good steam sauna. There are two breakfast rooms, at least when the hotel is fully booked. The upstairs one is in older surroundings but also has access to a roof terrace and is a bit calmer than the chaotic larger one. So a great trip and we will come again but not in summer as the rooms despite renovation have no air conditioning and only a very small opening window. This led to the temperature being too warm the ensure a good night's sleep sadly.

AWESOME! We were one day early in Finland so we needed a place to stay. I saw this hotel online and thought great Idea with the kids. Nice room (family suite) good pricing and a great looking swimming/spa area. What can I say? My expectations were highly exceeded! The room was great. So much space. Enough for the 3 children and our seperate masterbedroom. Wow. Sauna, two bathrooms. The people working in the hotel are very friendly and speak good english! I had No problems and felt very welcome. The pool/spa area.... OMG. The kids had so much fun. Very clean, stuff to play with, different areas, also for small children, outside pool, different slides with time measurement. We had so much fun and most important: the kids were really really tired đŸ«ąđŸ˜‚. All in all... I actually think our next Finnland visit will BE with early arrival in purpose again just so we can stay here again and for longer. Thank you very much

Beautiful location by the lake with spectacular views. This hotel would have so much to offer. However, I believe that the breakfast is very basic considering the number of stars. The food options offered by the hotel restaurants are either unhealthy, overly salty or completely tasteless. You are better off going to eat somewhere else in the city. It is also surprising that there are so many bad reviews about the food, but still nothing has changed. The hotel itself has corridors and toilets reminding you being at a hospital with rooms that are offered by 3-star hotels. The rooms are clean though, but everything is in a bad/worn out condition. The spa area is quite entertaining for all, but it could be a bit warmer there. All in all, I think the management should consider modernising the whole building and rethink the menus or change chefs.

Easy to reach by a car and plenty of parking space, some of it behind the building and totally empty while the lot at front was packed. Fast and very polite checkin. The room was apparently recently renovated and was fresh and clean. The beds had motorised controls but I found them a bit hard. The bathroom was big and clean. One odd omission in such a new looking bathroom was the bidet.

The biggest downside of the room came very apparent almost immediately, the sound insulation was practically non existing and we could constantly hear every screaming kid stomping in the hallway and all the noises from the adjacent rooms, which strongly flattened the couple getaway aspect of the trip. Free wifi was offered, but I could never get one bit to transfer over it even when all my devices connected to it just fine.

The spa part was very good. The water was tropically warm to a degree where I could just walk into it without getting used to its temperature. There were various fun details, like jets of water in specific spots, little waterfalls and two large water slides. Even as an adult the water slides were very entertaining and I found myself giving them multiple tries. They also had hourly wave machine for couple of minutes, which was a fun addition. A bathrobe and towel were included in the room, but weirdly enough no slippers, even disposable ones. The bathroom side also had several saunas. We were lucky to visit at an off-peak, mid-week time so the spa side was pretty quiet.

Outside swimming, they had bikes for visitors and mini-golf, which was rather small. The area in itself was a pleasure to walk around, with a gorgeous view to the nearby lake.

For the price of the room, the lack of even a basic breakfast was pretty disappointing. They attempted to upsell the breakfast to us at the checkin, but it was...

Otherwise the visit was quite well, but the hotel restaurants are not worth anything. The booking system allowed us to book buffet for Friday, but few days after that the restaurant manager informed us that Friday is not possible since the director had surprisingly decided to go for winter opening hours earlier than it was intended. OK, I agreed that our buffet booking can be moved to Saturday. Again, few days later they requested to move our booking form buffer to a'la carte restaurant, because they do not have enough employees available. For a compensation of this they offered -15 % discount. We agreed -20 % and our booking was relocated again. On Saturday all went quite OK, but when we received the check they told us that -20 % was from the original price, not after -15 % Scandic friends discount that all will get on weekends. Think about it, they offered us -15 % (which equals to 0 % in our Scandic friends level) compensation because of the issues they have caused for us. That is how much they are valuing us. We were a group of 10 people and we stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. And this is how they trear us. Hotel and the spa was otherwise OK, but the restaurant mess ruined the...

Pretty special hotel and not really my taste. We had to book this hotel for a business trip that overlapped with a Robbie Williams concert in Tampere so no other hotel was available. It has been ok for a short business trip but it took at least 20 minutes to go to Tampere by taxi. Sitting in a taxi for 40 minutes a day is not the best way to spend your time on such a trip.

The hotel seems to be some kind of family hotel. While its location is pretty nice and the spa with its inside and outside water slides must be fun for children, the hotel itself has aged pretty much. The style is not something one would call modern and the corridors and rooms provide a certain smell that tells the same. The breakfast was adequate and there has been enough to eat even if one does not really like the Finnish breakfast. Dinner was not included. For my taste the menu was not diverse enough so it was hard to find something I would eat.

As to be expected in Finnland, the staff has been always nice and friendly.

The rooms were furnished with all the basic stuff one would expect including TV and free WiFi but I would not go there...
