A.L'ESCALE — Hotel in Ajaccio

The hotel is very simple. 7days same breakfast and i mean..same breakfast. No buffet, only same bread, same cornflakes, same nature joghurt, same marmelade, same juice etc. Each days!!!||The room is cozy but little and the shower has no border means you have to clean it during you take the shower. After cleaning service in the morning the room smells bad because there is not enough fresh air and you understand that they do not use good cleaning products. The food of the restaurant is cooked like in Neverland of Peter Pan means a lot of diffrent colors in the plate but without good taste. Very special. Also the quality is not fresh, the vegetables seems to come from deep cooler. Service is veeeeeryyyy slow and not organized. The chairs looks nice with all the colors but the quality is very bad. They shake and during you eat you have the feeling you will fall down very soon. Wlan is very slow and not everywhere available. The price is too expensive for what you receive.||||In general, i do not recommend Corsica for poeple who likes to enjoy food, vine and nice service. Doesn't matter where you go to eat or to stay...you can feel that the poeple who are working are not leaving on the island (saisonal employees). They do not care if you come again and this is reflected in their work. You do not feel welcome. Very sad when you see the beauty of the nature and the big potential of this island. Maybe one day it changes, i wish it...

I have to say, the check-in procedure of this hotel feels like you are arriving at your friend's home: relaxed but professional welcoming, one is taken to the room while chatting, one sees the property and gets all the relevant information in a natural pleasant conversation. They offered us a nice sparkling muscat as a welcoming drink, very good quality one.||The room was spectacular, right in front of the beach, clean, big, comfortable bed and good a/c. ||Around the property, one can see lots of beach objects like floatation devices, racquets... and they are free to use!||The beach is very pretty, lots of small fishes in the water which makes it a cool experience so make sure to get some snorkeling mask. ||Right next door there is a Spar supermarket (you can buy a snorkeling mask there).||The hotel has a good restaurant facing the beach with good quality unpretentious food and the funniest waiter ever!||Free and good parking on site.||Definitely...

Wir besuchten das Hotel L‘Escale erstmalig am 25.9.21 und haben 3 Übernachtungen gebucht. Mit grosser Vorfreude anhand der idyllischen Fotos der Homepage, wurden unsere Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt. Die Begrüssung bei der Anreise war nett und wir erhielten (vermutlich infolge anstehendem Saisonende) ein up grade in ein Studio.||Ausführungen negatives:|Das Studio mit Meerblick ist sehr gemütlich und stylisch eingerichtet. Auf den zweiten Blick wirkt die Einrichtung marrode und die Reinigung mangelhaft: Badzimmerspiegel kaum geputzt, Balkontisch verschmutzt, Sofa fleckig. Die Küche war minimalistisch eingerichtet: Nur 1 Wasserglas, kein Pfannendeckel, kein Abtrocknungstuch. Störend empfanden wir das viele Katzen (gehörten der Mutter des Besitzers, welche auf dem Areal wohnt) rund um die Esstische herum liefen. Auch auf dem eigenen Balkon waren wiederholt Katzen anzutreffen, so dass die Balkontür nicht ohne Aufsicht offen gelassen werden konnte, wenn Katzen im Studio unerwünscht sind. Besonders störend war der Geruch von Katzenklo-/urin im Zugangsbereich der Studios. ||Am zweiten Tag wollten wir an der Réception etwas fragen und waren überrascht niemanden anzutreffen. Alle Türen zur Reception waren an diesem Nachmittag ohne Vorankündingung geschlossen. Zufälligerweise informierte uns die Mutter des Besitzers, dass das Restaurant nun Saisonende hat. Die Restaurantschliessung und somit die Inanspruchenahme sämtlicher Gastro-Dienstleistungen (bis aufs Frühstück) fiel für uns somit weg, was eigentlich zum gebuchten Service zählen sollte. Überall starteten Reinigungs-/Aufräumatbeiten.|Der Service wirkte unprofessionell|und wir fühlten uns nicht wirklich willkommen, teilweise fast unerwünscht. So wurde beim Check-out nicht gefragt, ob uns der Aufenthalt gefallen hat, die Endabrechnung stimmte nicht, zwar zu unseren Gunsten. Dennoch fraglich so etwas. Es scheint als besässe das Hotel kein Management. Wir hoffen für künftige Gäste, dass das Personal „nur“ wegen dem Saisonende so demotiviert wirkte. Trotzdem ist dies als Gast ein unbefriedigendes Gefühl bei einem Übernachtungspreis von CHF 160.00. ||Ausführungen positives:|Das Restaurant und der Aussenbereich sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail und einladend eingerichtet. Der herrliche Standort mit Meerblick lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen war frisch, gut und schön angerichtet. Das Hotel eignet sich auch für Familien mit Kinder und ist durch den direkten Strandanschluss ideal zum baden. Praktisch ist zudem der kostenlose Parkplatz...
