Bed and Breakfast Champ-Fleuri — Hotel in Angoulême

Shockingly poor value for money .The Madame was charming but that could not make up for the truly pathetic attempts to provide accomodation for 100 euros per night .The furnishings belong at the dump.The mini kitchen was a resting place for outdated appliances which were plainly the owners ancient cast offs .The kichen sink was filthy it had not seen bleach in very very long and little sponge beside the sink was brown with muck .The room was spartan in extremis ..no ceiling just the floor above and when its occupants arrived we were subjected to every step and every word .The pool was filthy .No tv no radio no clock the WC and bath were cramned under the stairs no shower..cobwebs and dust in abundance ..the breakfast was edible and basic ..the place is worth 40 euros a night ..you will do much much better elsewhere ...see our reviews of Chateau Maumont and Les Hauts de Chalonne .When u see the inside of the owners kitchen you realise shes ripping guests off big time with her exorbitant prices .....

For a trip to French Basque country (Ainhoa) we chose this place for the start. 2 nights in a place with swimming pool. When we made the reservation we had no idea how hot it would be. So we arrived in the hottest days our side of Europe has had in ages, and after checking in and being shown our rooms the swimming pool was our first target. Big enough for a place with 5 rooms! The location is very nice, there's a magnificent view over the valley to Angoulême, and the city is only 5 minutes by car. The breakfast is not exquisite but it's very nice, there's enough of everything. And in the evening you can ask for a wine or a beer, the very friendly owners serve this. I'd recommend this place to anyone going to...

Whilst driving through France heading for Spain we knew we needed to stop for the day I booked this room in the car on booking.com. Although the sat nav took us straight to the hotel it wasn’t clear where it was,ending up in a drive around the block, that’s where the negative ends, Barbara a charming lady opened the gate to reveal her home and the accommodation. Situated on the edge of the golf course with views of the town on the other side this is a beautiful location. We were shown rooms and opted for the ground floor room, it was spacious with rustic charm, unfortunately due to the weather we were unable to sit outside for breakfast but we would like to return in sunshine to enjoy...
