We stayed at Le Petit Mousse for 10 days at the beginning of September with our two young children (under 1 and 3 years old), and overall, we had a lovely time.||First off, the campsite itself was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, which made us feel welcome. No long waits at check-in as others have experienced. We particularly enjoyed the pool area with its slides – it was perfect for our 3-year-old, who couldn’t get enough of them! We never had issues finding sun loungers, but that might be because we went towards the end of the season. One thing to note is that, despite the rules about swim shorts on the website, the rules at the pool entrance do say swim shorts are allowed (with webbing and no pockets). Plenty of people wore regular swim shorts and the pool staff didn’t seem to mind.||We flew into Béziers and didn’t have a car, so we were limited in what we could explore outside the campsite. There wasn’t much nearby, so I’d recommend hiring a car if you want to get out and about. If you are planning on doing the same, we can recommend "Taxi - Aux Détours des Sentiers (Anne Taxi Service)". Really great communication and taxi service.||On our first day, we tried the food at the bar, but unfortunately, the burger we ordered was undercooked. We asked for a well-done replacement, but the second one wasn’t much better, so we didn’t eat there again. However, the on-site shop was a pleasant surprise – although pricier than a supermarket, it was well-stocked with everything we needed. The pastries were delicious, and the butchers had great quality meat.||Our accommodation (S030) was modern and clean, but the walls were quite thin (as is standard for a holiday home), so you could hear everything, which was worry with small children trying to sleep but didn't cause any issues - good blackout blinds which was a relief. The Comfort XL holiday homes didn’t have an oven or dishwasher, which was a bit of a downside for us, but we noticed the Premium homes had those, so we’ll probably book one of those next time. Also, the holiday homes are very close together so you overlook one another and can hear people when they are out on their decking.||The beach was easy to access – just a 3-minute walk, and it was clean and not too crowded. Perfect for families!||Despite reading other reviews about staff not speaking English, we didn’t have any issues. We made an effort to greet people in French, but communication wasn’t a problem at all and we were made to feel welcome.||Overall, we had a great time at Le Petit Mousse the main downside was the remoteness due to our lack of...
Read moreWe arrived at the site late evening - to be greeted by a not very friendly lady on a bike. She transferred us to another representative whom was more pleasant and spoke great english and checked us in to our mobile home. We booked two mobiles - requesting to be together (cost 21€) and were placed beside each other. The pool is well managed and the grass/garden area is perfect for when there are no sunbeds available - which is all the time! On checking in, two of the gas rings were not working - this was noted and fixed within hours - excellent communication between reception and maintenance. The reception staff, I have to say always greeted us with a smile, even when we struggled with the French. Most of them have enough english to help you. There is no air-con in the mobile homes but fans are available to rent - 5€ night or €20 per week. The bar/restaurant staff are equally as friendly, always ready to smile even when extremely busy. The menu is good value - a 3 course meal for 19€ and kids menu for €9.50. The beach is on campsite with easy access, beautiful views but the water was cold (not in the control of Tophapi Haha). There is plenty to do around the campsite - but a car would be required to do so. Europark is great, the Toro Piscine is a good night out, Vias plage is a nice with restaurants and shopping, Canal du Midi is beautiful (book a boat if you can). The washrooms are impeccably clean and kept to a high standard. The security is 24hr a day, very safe and friendly too. The check out time for us was a benefit in comparison to other sites, the latest check out is 11.30 which is super! The only downfall I would say is that the entertainment is the evening is not great with the exception of the mousse party - excellent! ||Overall, we would hope to...
Read moreFirstly the staff were efficient and the caravan was very clean. we book with Eurocamps/ Marvilla as we feel safe with a small timid rescue dog, as dogs must be on leads and larger dogs are not allowed. We booked in and went for a walk round the site, whilst passing a caravan the biggest dog I have ever seen ran out at us, its back was way past my waist and it was 15 stone in weight at least. I picked up my dog and ran and my husband blocked its path, it was shouted by someone and ran back in the van. The next day we went on to the private beach using the code closing the gate. At this point two of these giant dogs appeared(I think they were Spanish Mastiffs) they ran to us at speed, my husband held our dog over his head while they jumped up at us, I was screaming and they were barking and banging in to us, the owner slowly walked from about 50ft away, looking confused at why we were so frightened. I managed to get the gate open banging my back quite badly against it, we were both terrified and covered in slobber and hair but relieved to have made it to safety. I was shacking and upset, went to reception and told the lady on the desk and security what had happened. They said it was not good but the dogs are owned by the man who owns the campsite, and that was it, so I am guessing it was not the first time. we later spoke to a couple who said they had the dogs run up to them with their small child and they were upset too. This really need looking in to before someone or their dog gets hurt. we most definitely will not be going back. we stayed in our van or drove to a beach near by, I could not...
