RestAuberge La Reine Meije — Hotel in Briançon

Our stay was mediocre. The rooms were clean, the beer was good, and the views were excellent. However, compared with other similar places we stayed during our trip, the room was expensive for the services provided (shared bathroom and no breakfast included). The reason that I am giving one star is that the owner was extremely rude. During our stay, he seemed a bit distant and we felt like we were in his way (we attributed this to the fact that he was very busy during dinner time). However, when we left an honest review on Booking com (6/10 based on our experience and the value for money), he sent us an extremely rude message and told us he never wanted to see us again. If your business is hospitality, try to be a bit hospitable.

On a side note, I did request that the owner waive or reduce our cancellation fee (which was the entire price of the booking, not 50% of the fee as the owner indicated in his response to my previous review) for our second booking when we could no longer make it. I had indicated my desire to cancel five days before our booking (not 48 hours as indicated by the owner), and I thought that this was ample time to fill our room. While this did factor slightly into my initial review score (6/10) it was not the main reason that I gave a mediocre review and it is not the reason that I am giving one star now. My five-day stay at this hotel was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, the host was incredibly warm and welcoming. The hotel itself was nothing short of breathtaking, with its picturesque surroundings and charming décor that made it feel dreamy. Definately a great budget friendly hotel. The hotel's location was perfect for anyone who loves skiing, with its close proximity to the ski station allowing for quick and easy access to the slopes.

To top it all off, the food served at this hotel was simply exquisite. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the ingredients used in each dish. Every meal was a culinary masterpiece, kudos to the chef.

le gérant Mr Frederic de l’auberge ReineMeije, Le 1er soir ou nous sommes arriver nous avions du retard suite a la route,embouteillage nous somme arriver avec 30 minute de retard ou le service venait a peine de commencer les autres occupants a peine servie il nous a installé très froidement pour le service du soir et nous n’avons pas eu le choix au niveau de nos plats,Nos plats nous ont était IMPOSER !! Et facturer au meme tarifs que les autres ! Les autres personnes avez le choix des plats et nous pas..alors que nous avons était servie a peut près tous en même temps ensuite sur un malentendu nous avions compris que a chaque repas il nous serait facturé et non un forfait imposer par l’auberge petit déjeuner et repas du soir compris dans le forfait hors Monsieur FREDERIC nous a compter le petit déjeuner se qui était normal vu que nous l’avons pris et ensuite le repas hors nous n’avons pas manger à l’auberge et il nous a facture le repas du soir !! Très antipathique, très froid il nous a fait comprendre que c’était de notre faute. Ensuite niveau sécurité de l’auberge a fuir l’es chambres ne sont pas fermer a clefs ! Un homme est rentrer bourré dans ma chambre a 2h du matin aucune surveillance rien !! lorsque j’ai expliquer cela au gérant il ma juste sourit et dit qu’il fêtait un heureux événement qu’ils se sont coucher tard..imaginez vous que quelqu’un rentre dans votre chambre a 2h du mat quil défonce la porte pour rentrer.. pas de sécurité au niveau des chambres au niveau du rapport qualité prix a revoir, le petit dejeuner a revoir aussi mangez une biscotte confiture…et payer une somme...
