As a 2 star campsite this is amazing and I cannot recommend highly enough. Location - 10 minute cycle to Racou beach or Argelès harbour but away from the busy town in a blissful hillside next to vineyard with chateau and hill walks / mountain bike trails on the doorstep. A couple degrees cooler than the busy town centre campsites, which is welcome in the summer heat. Loads of shade. Campsite facilities are spotless - cleaned thoroughly at least 3 or 4 times per day. OK there’s no toilet roll or hand soap but that’s probably why it’s 2 stars. Swimming pool is busy enough to be fun but is not too crowded, it’s on the cloudy side of clear but I can’t say that bothered us at all. The restaurant is for meat eaters - nothing really for us vegetarian types and they could probably make more of an effort to play music / have promotions in the evenings to get people into the bar area, which is quiet except for Tuesday karaoke. The owners and staff were all super friendly and helpful, I suppose it’s easy to be chilled when you live somewhere so beautiful! The pitches are good but not amazing - the shrubbery between them is too small to offer any privacy. It’s a small to medium size so the perfect stay really, compared the much more industrial campsites in Argeles town. Overall -...

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the showers were clean and hot; the outdoor showers are particularly super! It's lovely that the paths around the campsite are paved so you do't get covered in dust as you walk around and the pool is super and was rarely crowded with plenty of sun loungers. We loved the area, there is so much to see and do and we had a wonderful holiday exploring.
Disliked: Our pitch lacked shade and privacy so we felt a little exposed, this also meant we got a bit blasted when it was windy. It's a shame the campsite don't play a bit of music in the bar area in the evening, it really lacked atmosphere; somewhere central to go and be sociable would have been nice, especially for our older children. The restaurant menu was very limited and the service (although friendly) was very slow. There isn't a campsite shop, you can buy bread for the morning, and a few bits, but a little shop with some essentials would have been really helpful, especially as there isn't a shop within...

Disliked: The bar manager an woman in her 60s very rude and unwelcoming to customers and fellow staff members There loss we took our custom elsewhere On the occasion we has dinner we were plagued by flys constantly yet they have no blue fly zappers in or around...
