We had the pleasure of staying at Ile de la Lagune at the start of September for just over a week. The area was beautiful, the hotel was incredible, the restaurants were amazing, the beds were so comfortable and the little boat taking us to the beach was a perfect cherry on top – but it was the people at Ile de la Lagune that made it the very best trip we could have hoped for.

João, the concierge, was so warm and helpful. He guided us to the best cycling and walking routes, really taking the time to help us find something that suited everything we wanted. Nothing was too much for him.

Cassandra in the spa gave me the best massage I've ever, ever had! The Hawaiian style massage, wow. It was phenomenal. She created such a relaxing environment, the only thing I was disappointed by was it coming to an end! She is so talented.

Bruno, in the bar, is a master mixologist. He made us delicious drinks each night, recommending different or local spirits, even giving us a sample of his new creations. He also happened to curate the best cheeseboards in all of France, and was an excellent conversation partner for the evenings!

Jeremy, from the restaurant was so kind and attentive. Nothing was too small or too big for him to accommodate, even arranging alternative courses when something didn't suit our palate. We had great conversations with him about anything and everything, and he always greeted us with a warm smile.

Benjamin in the restaurant and bar worked so hard to make everything look effortless. He recommended the perfect wines, and made the best chocolat chauds I think we've ever had.

Nicolas is the most knowledgable sommelier we've spoken to, he didn't just know how to pair with our meal, he also had an incredible knowledge about the background of the wines and exactly why they paired so well. My partner is a budding sommelier, and Nicolas was never too busy to share his expertise with her.

Nadeje – is there anything Nadeje doesn't do?! She works so hard, and seemingly around the clock!! But even with her working so hard on every part of the hotel experience, she still has time to have warm conversations and help in any way you might need. She's an angel. A very special person indeed.

And finally Emilie, from the front of house team. She made our stay extra special, taking care of even the tiniest of bumps along the way. She was warm and kind and really made us feel like special guests.

We can't thank the hotel enough. If you're looking for an extra special, luxurious stay in the South of France where you're treated like a part of the family, we can't recommend Ile De La...

I booked a room at the Llle de la Laguna Thalasso & Spa to have a restful 2 days from some very active touring. This place did not disappoint. Gerade (??) at reception met me and took care of my check in and luggage and brought me to a grand suite which was an upgrade as they were not full. I had a balcony overlooking the pool. There was music at night which was quite enjoyable. ||That night I ate at the Italian restaurant (there is also a Michelin Restaurant) which is an outdoor/indoor restaurant. You can have dinner fully outside or partially one or the other. Same with breakfast. I enjoyed breakfast by the pool in the mornings.||I had a wonderful massage with Magalie. It was 80 minutes and I was so relaxed. From there I went into the heated pool which I really enjoyed. It is at the top of the building (3rd floor) but covered, and since it was nice out all the sliders were open. So relaxing up there. ||Later that afternoon I found out that my return flight to USA was cancelled and improperly rebooked. Saskia at reception helped me so much to get the right person on the phone at the airline and I was able to get appropriate tix to go home. It took an hour of our time and I really appreciate her help.||I had dinner at the Italian restaurant the second night and also enjoyed it. The staff at the restaurants are attentive and helpful.||I didn't mention the views. There is a beautiful view of the sea from the hotel and from the outside areas. It is relaxing and enhances the peacefulness...

I took my wife to this hotel for her birthday and it was one of the best experiences. We were greeted by a young man from the reception with a friendly smile and he politely took our bags and helped check us in and show us our room, which was the Rhode Island suite. We were awe-inspired by not one, but two outdoor terraces. The room was simply stunning with all the amenities we could ask for during our stay. The staff was always helpful and would always go out of their way to please us We enjoyed a massage at the spa where all of the staff was just as incredible. Our rooms were kept clean and tidy throughout our stay and even the director, who was a classy gentleman, introduced himself at one point and offered a hand if we needed anything. We enjoyed cocktails on several occasions at the bar and had a few meals at the restaurant Aquarama—all of which were delicious and well presented. I highly recommend this place, not only for the wonderful location, gorgeous ambiance, and incredible attention to detail, but especially for the staff who went out of their way to make our stay top-notch! We don't get to go on holiday much due to our busy careers, but when we do, we'll certainly be returning here again. Thank you everyone, we sincerely appreciate everything. Sincerely, Alexandra and Andrew Guck

Our stay at Hotel Île de la lagune villa was fine, but not really up to Relais Châteaux standards. For example, the view was terrible, overlooking a sandy construction area. We asked for a better view but they said nothing was available. The resort did not seem full though, as the units around us were empty. The organization of the “salle de bain” area was strange, with no door for privacy around the bath tub or shower area. It was all one big open room. In addition, the curtains on the terrace did not completely cover the patio doors. There was one area completely open. Did they forget to add another curtain? Finally, there was a problem at checkout. We had to cancel one night of our stay, months earlier, and they said they would keep our initial deposit to be used in the restaurant. However, the employee at checkout seemed confused and had to call a manager for help. It took 10 minutes for them to figure it out. The redeeming traits were the comfortable bed, the quiet room, and the amazing dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant.
