We had the pleasure of staying at Ile de la Lagune at the start of September for just over a week. The area was beautiful, the hotel was incredible, the restaurants were amazing, the beds were so comfortable and the little boat taking us to the beach was a perfect cherry on top – but it was the people at Ile de la Lagune that made it the very best trip we could have hoped for.
João, the concierge, was so warm and helpful. He guided us to the best cycling and walking routes, really taking the time to help us find something that suited everything we wanted. Nothing was too much for him.
Cassandra in the spa gave me the best massage I've ever, ever had! The Hawaiian style massage, wow. It was phenomenal. She created such a relaxing environment, the only thing I was disappointed by was it coming to an end! She is so talented.
Bruno, in the bar, is a master mixologist. He made us delicious drinks each night, recommending different or local spirits, even giving us a sample of his new creations. He also happened to curate the best cheeseboards in all of France, and was an excellent conversation partner for the evenings!
Jeremy, from the restaurant was so kind and attentive. Nothing was too small or too big for him to accommodate, even arranging alternative courses when something didn't suit our palate. We had great conversations with him about anything and everything, and he always greeted us with a warm smile.
Benjamin in the restaurant and bar worked so hard to make everything look effortless. He recommended the perfect wines, and made the best chocolat chauds I think we've ever had.
Nicolas is the most knowledgable sommelier we've spoken to, he didn't just know how to pair with our meal, he also had an incredible knowledge about the background of the wines and exactly why they paired so well. My partner is a budding sommelier, and Nicolas was never too busy to share his expertise with her.
Nadeje – is there anything Nadeje doesn't do?! She works so hard, and seemingly around the clock!! But even with her working so hard on every part of the hotel experience, she still has time to have warm conversations and help in any way you might need. She's an angel. A very special person indeed.
And finally Emilie, from the front of house team. She made our stay extra special, taking care of even the tiniest of bumps along the way. She was warm and kind and really made us feel like special guests.
We can't thank the hotel enough. If you're looking for an extra special, luxurious stay in the South of France where you're treated like a part of the family, we can't recommend Ile De La...

There was music at night which was quite enjoyable. ||That night I ate at the Italian restaurant (there is also a Michelin Restaurant) which is an outdoor/indoor restaurant. You can have dinner fully outside or partially one or the other. Same with breakfast. I enjoyed breakfast by the pool in the mornings.||I had a wonderful massage with Magalie. It was 80 minutes and I was so relaxed. From there I went into the heated pool which I really enjoyed.
