Auberge Castel Mireio — Hotel in Carpentras

We stayed here for two nights on a cycling holiday. The building with the hotel rooms in is on the junction of two roads so if you think you will be bothered by traffic noise you might want to give it a miss...but we didn't notice the traffic. ||The rooms are simple and comfortable. There is a small honesty bar in the hotel block with beer and soft drinks. ||Very friendly welcome (owner speaks good english).||Nice the pool area, it had plenty of sun until late in the day and good sunbeds.||The food was delicious, with a daily changing specials menu and the wine list good. The owners have an extensive knowldge of the Cairanne wines and were only too happy to help you choose one. ||We would definitely return here if we were in...

We visited Auberge as part of our cycling holiday, spending 2 nights with our charming hosts.||The rooms were very comfortable with good ensuite shower facilities and excellent air conditioning. The buildings were well maintained and the swimming pool was very clean and well looked after.||As the weather was warm and sunny we decided to eat breakfast and dinner on the front terrace, which was delightful. Our meals were of very good quality and beautifully presented and served. The wine menu had an excellent selection of local wines.||We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, which is not always the case in France. We would certainly recommend visiting Auberge...

Incredible place to stay. And the people that run it are amazingly nice, helpful and good at heart. Our rented car started to give us mechanical failure really close to the hotel at the end of a long day, without anything open on a Sunday night, and we had to stop at it and ask for a room. Although the place was apparently closed, they were incredible and cleared a room for us and took us in, and let us stay there the other day to wait for the new car, and arrange everything.
