We were warmly welcomed by Mayeul, to the beautiful Chateau. Able to purchase delicious bread and cheese, and home produced beer (or wonderful home produced pates, and wine) before 6pm. Our room was large and sedate, with a v comfortable bed. The view overlooked the forest and sheep. A genuine bucolic scene. We ate a pilgrim's pic nic on the terrace for dinner, and drank in the scenery and castle. It was peaceful and calming. The beer was excellent. Breakfast was laid out in a beautiful dining room, and was v tasty and filling, and included their own produce. Which was delicious. A walk through the woods - uplifting. The grounds are v well kept and the out buildings all interesting. Mayeul kindly showed us the chapel too. We v much enjoyed our peaceful and majestic stay at the Chateau. Thank you to the owners who have created this charming experience, and Mayeul for welcoming us and helping with our...

Checkout is an early 10am when breakfast itself ends at 10am... I also agree with one other review regarding the amount of advertising paraphernalia everywhere. Otherwise a very...
