Spent a week here in August 2022.
The site is right by the beach and has great pools/slides. It is a lovely location and accommodation is nicely shaded by the pine trees. The site is kept very clean. It is nice to be able to walk/cycle (there is bicycle parking at the beach) to the beach. If you have a calm clear evening, go to the beach for sunset, it's magical.
.....however the site is very very expensive, the accommodation especially so (€2500 for a week for a very relatively new but basic 1 double and 1 room with 2 singles with no a/c), for what it offers and you feel like you're part of a money making machine rather than a relaxed authentic campsite. The personal element has been lost that we've had at many other sites around France and that we've felt for our second week at the CapFun site 10 minutes away on the lake.
The site is huge but they've packed so much accommodation in as possible it means you're very cramped and there's very little privacy from neighbours. They over advertise what capacity properties are, for a 4/6 read a 4 and parking for 2 vehicles....it may be possible but you couldn't open your doors or have a walkway to the steps 🤣🤦
There's security everywhere and they are all grumpy!!! Some people may think it's good/reassuring to see security but to us it doesn't feel nice (never seen it at other sites!), it felt like there was a problem we didn't know about, you need to ask why is it necessary......so I don't know if the site has had a lot of problems before or currently?
Be careful with the inventory.....I don't know if it's a scam, but they don't provide you with one or tell you about it when you check in! The inventory is buried on the website with the accommodation (this is before you book!!!!) you are looking at and in there, it says to check within 24 hours of arriving at the campsite. We were a couple of glasses short so now wondering if we'll get charged 🤷🏼♂️ This should be provided at check-in!!! 🤬
With the site being so big, the site is very busy. Car parking is a nightmare, getting in/out on Saturday/Sunday transfer days is an uncoordinated mess.
Put it simply, you do just feel like a cash cow, everything costs money.....even the tennis courts are locked up and cost €8 an hour from reception to book, hence why no one was using them unless they found them open 😉
For shopping, the shop on site is well stocked but to walk for 5 minutes or cycle up, I'd stop at the super U by the roundabout entrance, it's about 1/2 the price of the shop on site and decent selection. Access into the town is easy by bike, simply turn down the road to your right as you come out of the campsite 👍
Generously giving it 3 stars, it's certainly not 5*, the food didn't look great, service was lacking and if you scratch beneath the surface is looking very tired - patchy roads, water goes on/off unexpectedly, showers/toilet blocks looked dated and needed cleaning.
Would we go again, not sure......if we did, we'd probably camp, the camping plots looked a good size and there was a...

For almost 500 Euros per day, yes 500! staying in a Premium Dune lodge with jacuzzi with 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, kitchen with tiny sofa, and aircon. Basically a small mobile home, clean but compact. to get into bed shuffling sideways was the option. Outside an area of decking with jacuzzi was pleasant plus a randomly placed seating area away from the property next to the road. It was less busy on our road being the park perimeter but surrounding us were tightly squeezed in lodges - so that our neighbour could eat their lunch and see me sitting on the toilet.
View was of a fence, behind which was the sand dunes. VERY EXPENSIVE for what it was, especially when the facilities were so crowded that you couldn't get a sunbed by the pools or a meal in the on-site restaurants. very poor customer service from management, 6 visits to reception and a day wasted trying to sort out the "guaranteed" wifi in our premium lodge. The engineer told us it has never worked in that area while he worked on site because of the location and it needed a dedicated service. It shouldn't be listed as part of the inclusions if it has never worked. Manager told us that it was an added bonus, NO this was listed as included in our package, specifically for 4 devices. Manager refused to offer us any refund it was the spa voucher or nothing! He really couldn't care.
Our friends son broke his arm and the recepetion staff were too busy to help!
Expensive food and drink on site
Looks like the management have tried to squeeze in as many lodges and camping spots as possible to maximise revenue but haven't upgraded the facilities accordingly.
Beach was great, but very crowded, Lifeguards were excellent as there was a strong sideways current.
Premium doesn't mean premium, expectations not met, and poor customer service to follow. Very poor lighting around site and up to your property front door, No WIFI, Plastic style pillow cases, horrible, had to buy cotton ones from supermarket.
Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.
Use the restaurants and bars by the lake - much better and a wider selection - only a short bike ride away.
We will...
Read moreThis is a large site with good facilities and nice staff members but staying in a Eurocamp mobile home was not a good experience. The units are placed so closely together, it was not pleasant, we were extremely disappointed with how close on all sides we were to neighbours (unit 73B). There was also not enough room for our car to park because of a tree and the nose of the car stuck out into the road as the depth was not adequate either. To sit on the decking was not pleasant at all, not just lack of light and privacy but every time the unit in front of us used their hot water, the gas boiler clicked on and there must be a fault with their boiler as the small of gas was horrific! Including stinging our eyes! We dashed into the mobile every time this happened whilst covering our mouths so as to try not to inhale this! We also had to wash all the dishes in the kitchen on arrival as they were dirty. |We have used Eurocamp on many occasions but we will not be using them again. Other sections of the site didn't have their units pushed together so tight, so I can only presume Eurocamp are being greedy at the expense of their customers satisfaction and well being. On the whole it was hugely disappointing..... The White, Grey and Premium areas look much better than the Orange Eurocamp area, so my advice would be to book via a company that offers units in these areas.|The only negative about the site itself was the pool opening hours, 10.30am-6.15pm, we had arrived from a wonderful site in the Dordogne where the pool was open from 9am -8pm. The late opening time at Le View Port was restrictive and frustrating when you want to relax on a lounger for longer than these periods, especially when your accommodation was so awful to sit outside at :( ||Plus points:|The beach is wonderful and water a perfect temperature, good for body boarding.|Friendly staff.|Local town market was good, super selection of stalls.|Local town skate/scooter park is good and close to the site|Tennis courts are free in June|Site security good||Minus Points:|Pool opening times|A very large site, bicycles would be handy|Eurocamp mobiles...
