Beautiful little property in an amazing setting of a still uncrowded seaside village. Depends on what you're looking for, for me nothing beats an old school family hotel in a good location. Overall, my experience has been much better than in the expensive monstrous 5-star factories with thousands of workers chasing your tips ;)

I had a wonderful opportunity to stay at this place in March, while they were still in renovation, but I had an absolutely bonkers time. Hotel is so nice, but what amazed me the most was Charlotte, gorgeus host. Amazing view, spottless cleanliness and absolutely gorgeous atmosphere. Many thanks for everything.

Called to make a reservation which seemed in order after speaking to the manager. All seemed fine until, just be sure, I sent an email confirming some details after which I got reply from the manager that the room was guaranteed unless I would email him my credit card number, exp date and 3 digit confirmation code on email. It is very strange to require the 3 digit code. Hotels never ask for this, banks warn never to provide it to 3rd parties and email is not encrypted. "Lavender" room had an extremely strong toilet refresher smell. After reporting this to the manager he said that they sprayed the room with parfum (why, and why one that smells of cheap toilet refresher?!). But after airing the room for an hour which got rid of most of the smell, it turned out that the cheap toilet refresher smell actually came blasting from the airconditioning unit (did he climb into the airco unit to spray parfum LOL?) As if something had been placed into the airco to masque another smell or something. The manager offered to have someone look at the airco in 2 days. Either way it was a horrendously strong smell of cheap toilet refresher blasting from the airco filling the entire room irritating our lungs so we turned it off and opened the windows, trying to sleep in a 28 degrees celsius room which was as you can imagine pretty awful. The next morning we had the breakfast. A very basic selection of some muesli, bread, ham, etc and no eggs for 48 euro for 2 adults and 2 children. After expressing my dissappointment about the whole experience the manager half heartedly offered to charge 36 euro for 4 cups of cornflakes and a coffee. We understand set backs happen but adding it all up this was a somewhat weird and...

We arrived in the high season at Ste. Maxime one day early for our destination which was fully booked for the day. We were advised to go to hotel Calanques, maybe there was one room left for the night. At Hotel Calanques we were very friendly addressed by the lady receptionist. There was indeed one room left for the night. A room at the second floor (stairs)with a small terrace and a perfect view at the Mediterranean sea! Of course we took the room and we had a perfect stay! Our room was small but with all the accommodation we needed. Nice small bathroom and very good bed. We had a great diner nearby at the restaurant ' Le Circle'. I had the best 'soup de poisson' in my life and the ' Gamba's' were bigger than they had ever been on our plates!||Back in the hotel, the next morning we experienced a perfect example of great hospitality: breakfast was served (on request) at our own terrace! When we left we were offered a coffee with a glass of cold water just outside the lobby where we sat and enjoyed free wifi for another hour.||The room price was fair. In short: a good price/value balance and a perfect example of great hospitality by the small staff! The next time we are in the neighborhood, we will...

Stopped off recently to spend 4 glorious days in Les Issambres on the Cote d'Azur. Found this hotel online and it exceeded all my expectations. Franck and Luisa are the friendliest of owners, and the warm welcome continued throughout my stay. It really felt like staying with friends. The hotel is situated on the ocean side of the coastal road, and my air-conditioned room afforded the most wonderful panoramic views, with simply breath-taking sunrises. Nothing was too much trouble for my hosts, and, as a real foodie, the cuisine was delicious. Franck and Luisa are very passionate about making their guests' stay as comfortable as possible, and, in my experience, their level of hospitality, attention and warmth far exceeds other places I have stayed. So, if you're looking for a quiet, relaxed, warm, welcoming and very reasonably-priced hotel in this wonderful part of Southern France, then look no further. I cannot recommend them...
