AVOID THIS PLACE..TERRIBLE EXPENSIVE!!!Terrible fish, not fresh, extremely expensive...borderline convinced we were scammed. I would not advise anyone to dine here, actually run away very fast.

I am visiting France with in-laws that are from Panama. We know our seafood. We're a group of seven and we sat down by the beach bar and enjoyed drinks for an hour or so. The scenery and atmosphere is great, But in a hour we quickly ran up a bar tab of 180euro. This does include some good scotch but still... this was one of the most expensive bar tabs on our trip, which includes London, Paris and Monaco.

Walking up to the restaurant they had the fresh fish on ice to display the quality of the catch, by the looks of the fish we thought we were in for an amazing meal. We asked for a table but they told us they were full, so they sat us outside on the deck. It was not too cold, so this wasn't a big deal, and we were all alone which was nice. The waiter had very rough english, but he was nice and seemed to try hard to make sure we understood the menu and options without ever really clarifying the price. He brought the fresh catch out to us to show us, we narrowed it down to 2 John Dory and what looked like a 3-4 lb Seabreem to feed the 7 of us. Both excellent looking fish and being so fresh we had high expectations. They again came out, showed us the caught fish (the John Dory had the golden yellow showing it was fresh) we chose on platters and came back 30 mins later to show us the whole fish as cooked. Shortly after, the dishes started arriving and they brought only 6 plates for the seven of us. By the looks of the size of fillet's on the plates it already seemed to me something was wrong as it did not look anywhere near the amount of fish I expected. After the first bites we all kind of looked at each other and said the same thing, it was below average, not fresh, somewhat dry and had no flavor. We all knew something was wrong, but being tourist and unsure, we were polite and finished dining. All the while and after much thought I was convinced this was a classic bait and switch and whatever fish we were served was not what was presented.

FUYEZ!!! Surtout si vous pensiez bien faire en passant par un deal Groupon. Très mauvaise expérience à la mi août, ayant réservé 8 transats pour la journée via notre appli Groupon, à une date et heure précise (bien indiqué « non modifiable » sur le site), après une heure de route avec des enfants et un bébé, nous sommes arrivés sur place et la plage était complète. Le responsable des lieux, un homme très imbu de sa personne, sachant trop bien nous montrer qu’il avait déjà assez du chiffre d’affaire qu’il était en train de réaliser pour nous donner la moindre importance, nous a reçu de la façon la plus exécrable qui soit. Sans nous apporter aucune solution, ni dédommagement, il nous a simplement signifié que « c’était une mauvaise idée de passer par Groupon », pourtant une enseigne connue pour être sérieuse et à laquelle il confie les réservations de sa plage... Ce monsieur nous a laissé sur le bord de la route en nous disant qu’il n’y connaissait rien et ne pouvait rien faire pour nous. Après nous avoir vaguement griffonné sa signature sur l’un des deals que nous avions imprimés avec la mention « complet », monsieur s’est courageusement réfugié à l’intérieur en nous envoyant le personnel de sécurité (oui le courage d’un homme se lit souvent par ses actes de bravoure) Après une heure de négociation face à un sourd, puis à un agent de sécurité qui ne pouvait rien faire pour nous, une jeune femme s’est finalement présentée, faisant preuve de bien plus d’empathie. Elle a noté les numéros de nos deals pour les «transmettre au service commercial qui régularisera la situation sous 7jours » Elle nous a finalement fait entrer pour nous offrir une boisson à chacun, et nous avons pu profiter quelque peu de l’endroit dans des conditions bien moins confortables que celles pour lesquelles nous étions venus. Résultat des courses: deux semaines après, le service commercial est à l’image du responsable de l’endroit... inexistant des qu’il s’agit d’être efficace. J’ai d’ailleurs lu les précédents avis sur cet endroit (chose que j’aurais du faire plus tôt) et la plupart mettent en avant le manque de professionnalisme pour un lieu qui se dit d’accueil clientèle. Je pense que les bases du métier sont à revoir concernant le relationnel client. Je ne recommande donc absolument pas cet endroit et je ne risque pas d’y remettre les pieds un jour. Bottom line: Very good though pricy restaurant! Wouldn't go there as a vegetarian.

Pros: fresh seafood beautiful atmosphere with a view of the sea excellent service (the staff made a real effort to explain everything despite our very limited french language skills)

The place was recommended to us by colleagues from work and we went there multiple times during our stay at the côte d'azur. Each day they present the catch of the day on a platter from which you can choose the fish other seafood you like. We tried lobster and gilthead, both of which tasted deliciously.
