Travelling from Italy to Spain we had to make an unexpected and unplanned stop in Frejus and this looked like a convenient stop near the motorway. I was here with my wife and 3 kids, everything was dirty to a level that I haven't seen anywhere else. The night staff was condescending and not very helpful. We got there late at night with 3 kids, lots of luggage and a stroller and they reserved us two rooms at the third floor... without elevator!!! After a bit of "negotiation" they finally gave us two rooms at the ground floor but apart from each other. The bed sheets and towels were clean but everything else was absolutely tatty, greasy, dark, dirty, moldy... disgusting for real. I understand this is just a 2 stars hotel, but 2 stars should mean basic facilities not disgustingly dirty rooms. Easy to park on site. I cannot recommend enought to...
Read moreI don't want to complain about the rooms; they are small, but that's to be expected in a budget hotel. What really bothered me, however, was the strong smell of sewage. You could smell it immediately upon entering, and unfortunately, it was also very noticeable in the room. The shower is small, which isn't a problem by itself, but please replace the sealant, as it looked dirty. The shampoo dispenser also did not work.
Regarding the air conditioning, it worked well, but it wouldn't hurt to clean it thoroughly inside. And then there's the Wi-Fi, which was very poor. However, I noticed that even 5G in France isn't much better.
So, yes, the hotel is worth the money, but don't expect five-star service, as you're not paying for that. For a single night's stay, it's acceptable, especially since we were just...
Read moreThis is the worst place I’ve been in years. Papa d 130 for a couple with a child, for one night . We arrived late, having informed them, but when we got there there was nobody. The receptionist arrived after a while, the poor guy all on his own trying to find the cause of the bad smell . The bed was not made, there was a bag with sheets for us to make it. The breakfast appalling: a super small space without even the space to cue, twenty minutes, competing with a dozen other guests trying to get something to eat , croissants like chewing gum, tasteless coffee… The room was clean but the common areas, stairs snd hallways had not been cleaned in a while. The only other experience like this I ve ever had was the cheapest hostel in Washington DC, but it was one fifth...
