Liked: Highly recommend the campsite. The pitches are very generous and I loved that we got to choose which pitch we wanted.

The farm shop that is situated on the site is absolutely outstanding. They sell such a wide selection of local produce you can get everything you need to eat/drink there. Fantastic.

The shower and toilet facilities are very modern and clean. Probably the best facilities I’ve seen on a camp site.

The location is excellent. Only 1 hour from Calais port so it makes a great stopover site or if like us you stay longer it’s a great base for visiting other cities. We visited Bruges, Ghent, Lille and Ypres whilst we were there. If you’re interested in WW2 there is an old bunker only a 15 minute walk from the site in a nearby field (you can find it on Google). There are many larger shops within 5-10 minutes drive from the site including Decathlon, large supermarkets, hardware stores, toy shop etc. everything you could possibly need. The location is on a farm so has that rural feel whilst being so close to large shops for convenience.

Very friendly staff. A quiet site, we had no issues with noise. Everywhere is well kept and clean. Excellent WiFi on the pitch - good enough to stream Netflix etc.

Disliked: It’s such a shame to have to write anything negative about this fantastic site, but the only complaint I have about this site is that the owner’s farm dog (a brown and white collie) roams free around the site. Whilst it seems friendly enough at first, it gets very over excited around children and the trampoline in the park on site. My son was on the trampoline and when he opened the door to exit the dog launched on him and bit through his jumper leaving an hole in it and drew blood with his bite on his arm. Frightened the life out of me and meant that I couldn’t relax to let the kids go to the bathroom by themselves etc. please be careful with your children around the dog.

We did report to the reception where we were told it was a known problem and that they try to keep the dog locked in, but it was out everyday after this happened for the week that we were there so I don’t think they try that hard to keep the dog off the campsite.

We were lucky it was a bite on an arm. Imagine if this was a small...

Liked: A very quiet campsite that is perfectly located for the Le Shuttle to the UK and very cheap. A variety of different pitches to 'choose' from such as surrounded by hedges for privacy, large, small, quiet or open to the elements. A fantastically stocked on-site shop with an array of meats, cheeses, wines, apple drinks, chocolates and bread. You can also order bread and croissants for the next day. The owners and staff are exceptionally well mannered and extremely welcoming. A shared barn area for cooking and eating. This includes a four hob gas stove, toaster, coffee machine and a kettle. There are also two large fridge-freezers available to use. This is quite common on a lot of UK campsites, but not so much (in my experience) on the continent, so this was much welcomed. A small play area at the front of the campsite with a netted trampoline. There is a coin operated washing and a drying machine available, and clothes racks for air drying. The showers were hot and the water flow was good. The site takes Apple Pay and Revolut online cards which is very helpful.

Disliked: The biggest issue for my family was the fact that the toilet block was not separate from the shower and washing up area. There wasn't even a plasterboard wall to offer some form of noise and more importantly smell prevention. I would not go back simply because of this, but if this issue was fixed, then I certainly would.

These are not dislikes, just more of a heads-up for other campers:

Some of the electric grass pitches only have the European electric adapter as opposed to the three pin one, so make sure you check this before you put up your tent, unlike me :) However, the campsite does have adapters (I am not sure how many) and one was lent to me for my stay, for which I was most appreciative.

The sinks in the pot washing area have no plugs, so a lot of water is wasted unnecessarily. The taps are also push operated which is bothersome.

The toilets were clean, but make sure you bring your own paper, as none is provided in the stalls. There are, however, some paper dispensers available on the walls inside the main block, but you never know if these might have run out at the most...

Liked: Distance from Dunkirk ferry port (approx 45 mins) Ease & efficiency of check in. Tour of camp site on a golf buggy for you to pick your own pitch that suits your needs. Facilities are excellent...... All pitches have fresh water on the pitch that I saw Shower block / Toilets / Wash up area /Kitchen Dining area /Laundry Room / Site Shop / French Boules pitches x2 / Kids play area All pitches appeared to be flat & well maintained. Some were enclosed by bushes for extra privacy. A mixture of caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents & tents scattered around the main camping areas. Some static caravans & seasonal caravans on site also. Free WiFi which was very good throughout our stay. Very friendly owners & staff on site. Location is perfect for touring France & Belgium. Local town is approx 40 mins walk but worth the effort. Bruges approx an hours drive away. Ypres approx 30 mins drive away. Perfect site for a stopover or a few days to a few weeks. We stayed 10 days & it didn't disappoint. A special mention to the sites resident dog....what a character & very very friendly to all guests. Don't hesitate...just book it....you'll love it.

Disliked: Slight gripe but it didn't spoil our holiday & it depends upon the type of campers that you are on site with at the time.......the top small toilets / Wash up area away from the main buildings were cleaned once that we noticed during our stay. But it doesn't help when other campers leave the toilets & sink areas in a state that can only be described as a sess pit. Beggars belief how some folk must live. Moto cross race one Saturday afternoon that we could see from the site which was noisy & annoying through the day. Local festival at weekend playing loud music till 0250hrs both nights, again annoying but didn't spoil our stay & I guess they're not on...

September 2023: our third visit this summer. Still perfect, quiet, great shop and good amenities. Great location in gently rolling farmland just outside Bailleul. With pitches for tents, caravans and campers the site has good facilities. The check-in is inside the large shop that sells produce, cheese, pate, and just about anything that you could expect in a farm shop along with a few things you might not. The welcome is warm and friendly and includes a short tour of the clean and modern facilities that include toilets, showers, wash cubicles and dish washing. There is a large, sheltered dining area and also several covered tables for picnics. Near to the entrance to the site is a play area (with a trampoline) for small children. The surrounding countryside has cycling and walking routes and it is possible to walk to the Conservatoire Botanique National without spending too much time on the main road. It is worth a visit, but one of the two gardens is exclusively wild flowers so by mid/late July many have already gone to seed. This is a quiet, well maintained site and would be perfect for any type of stay - a single night on the way or for a longer stay to allow time to explore the area. We have already booked a return visit.

Absolutely lovely!! Isobel, her family and staff are all incredible and so hospitable. From the moment we arrived, we were swiftly checked in, escorted by Isobel herself on a golf buggy and shown all the facilities including drinking water, showers, basins, the cute chickens, the goats, pétanque (bowles area), bins, kids area. They even have a kitchen and fridge freezer for communal use. We stayed here for just one night as a stopover heading back to the UK from travelling around Europe. We’re a family of four and had a tent. The pitch is a really generous size with electric, really reasonable priced. We ordered fresh croissants for the morning. Out of all the campsites we’ve stayed at this season we would definitely come back here for a peaceful few days. The farm shop is well stocked with the majority of produce homegrown from fruit and vegetables, to homemade ice cream and jams. They also have a gorgeous floral gift shop inside. Everything is reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a peaceful nights sleep, I would highly recommend you come here.

This campsite doesn’t deserve any star rating the lady at reception was so rude I could cry for how she made me and my husband feel she made me so upset how she spoke to us she was horrible I don’t no if it was because we were British or that my husband is of colour I traveled from England the same day with are 7 month old baby for are first family holiday and booked this camp she was so so rude told us to get off and go and wouldn’t give us an explanation she just kept on saying no get off go I felt very intimidated by her as she was a very big women with very big shoulders and arms and she was marching up and down saying go get off she should be ashamed of her self to think in 2022 that you can treat people that way I pray she finds Jesus and gets saved she is truly a horrible person I didn’t think we would of been judged and made feel ashamed of skin colour and culture in2022
