We have just stayed here for a week with son, daughter-in-law , grandson and 4 week old granddaughter. In the heatwave not necessarily so easy, but the lovely park around the pool had plenty of shade and the large pool had a sloping beach entry which meant it was suitable for the 4 year old. The bedrooms have good silent air conditioning were very comfortable. Good beds and very clean rooms. ||The owners and staff are all delightful, but there has to be a special mention for the breakfast waitress who is just amazing, remembering where you like to sit, that you need gluten free bread ....||The restaurant /bar terrace is lovely with a wonderful views of the tall cliffs of the Lot valley across. The tables are beautifully laid and full marks for the child's menu which is small portions of the menu dishes. So nice for the children to have proper food and not the usual steak hachérie frites. Food is excellent, all freshly prepared and the evening waitress makes a mean gin and tonic!||This hotel has a feel of a Californian hotel and is full of art works, books, with a lovely shady park to the side. A boring 70's building has been made modern, light and original. ||Do try a massage at the spa, they are amazing.||The lovely town centre is just 350m away and there is a nice path into town along the banks of the Lot.||So to be absolutely perfect this hotel needs to put tissues in the room, a non slip mat in the bath as we both of us had near misses standing in the bath for a shower due to bath shape, and a dedicated coffee machine at breakfast type Nespresso, but these are not deal breakers. We will certainly be going back. Thanks for a lovely...
Read moreWe stayed here for two days on our way down south. Although not close to the motorway, it was a pleasant detour across pretty countryside to get to Cajarc in the Lot valley. The hotel has been refurbished and is light, spacious and modern with artworks and stylish decor. The hotel is in a picturesque setting, with attractive grounds and a very appealing pool with views of the hills, which I had to myself most of the time (despite being in July), swimming in the mornings and early/mid-afternoon before other guests arrive. Hammocks in the gardens, in which to relax. We had a room with a balcony on the first floor, it was very comfortable with good air conditioning. Staff were welcoming and helpful, dinners were particularly good (eaten outside on the terrace) and breakfast was good too. The dinners were set menus, and it was helpful that they were quite happy for me to have just a starter/entree and dessert at a reduced price, rather than a main course, which I sometimes find too filling. An easy walk down the road to the centre of Cajarc, a pretty historic and lively small town with lots to see and do nearby including boats/river activities, and a very good vide-greniers and brocante market when...
Read moreWe were with a group of 29 persons, and stayed in this hotel for one night. The hotel is good, the bed is excellent. The room was a bit outdated, but that is a matter of taste. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.|There are only 2 things that could be improved. The water system is very noisy, you notice when a neighbour is going to the toilet or taking a shower. Also the WiFi system s unusable. There are several accesspoints, but all to weak, a connection only stays up for less...
