Camping Le Viginet — Hotel in Issoire

The campsite is run by Odile and Thomas. Two very friendly people with good and quick replies to any query we had. We can highly recommend this campsite. We stayed in one of the chalets. Actually, the same chalet as 4 years ago. Still, the chalet is in the same tiptop condition with no sign at all of any wear and tear. The chalet is well equipped with a kitchen incl. coffeemachine (senseo and normal filter) and kettle. Fridge/freezer and cooker with all necessary utensils. Sufficient plates, glasses and cutlery as well. Consumables, such as (tea)towels, bedlinnen are not around but we have taken with us ourselves.  The campsite is abt 5-10 mins walking distance from st.nectaire where restaurants and shops are available. The larger supermarket Intermarche is 12 mins by car from the campsite in the next larger village. The area of St.Nectaire is heaven on earth for walkers. Nice, not too strenuous walks, are plentyful available straight from the campsite or within 10/15mins drive. However the Puy de Sancy area requires good boots and stamina but the views are magnificent. You can also reach Puy de Sancy by cablecar.... We have been on this campsite twice now, but sure will come back again in the near...

Heerlijke sfeer op de camping. Toen we aankwamen voelden we dit direct. De kinderen gingen meteen spelen en ook bij ons kwam er een gevoel van rust en vakantie over ons heen, ondanks dat we al een week op weg waren. ||De campingeigenaren, een Nederlands/Frans stel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze maken niet direct al te veel contact maar als je contact met ze maakt krijg je de leukste tips voor de omgeving. ||Het sanitair is heel schoon en ruim. Alles goed onderhouden. Er is een ruime familie douche met 2 douches. Heel prettig!||Speeltuin ligt achter het hoofdgebouw en heeft een terras op het zuiden. Hier kun je een drankje nuttigen en ondertussen vermaken de kids zich in de mooie speeltuin.||Vanuit de camping meerdere wandelingen te doen. Heel mooi.||Er is brood te bestellen, alle soorten, gewone stokbroden of volkoren. Allerlei soorten. Croissantjes e.d. Allemaal goede kwaliteit.||Wij stonden vrij ver vooraan, en hoewel ik liever rustiger achteraan sta had dit ook zijn voordelen en was het er toch rustig genoeg.||Camping is goed onderhouden. Ik begreep van andere kampeerders dat ze een vrij natte plaats hadden, de camping eigenaar kwam direct grind storten om het wat op te hogen. ||Ik denk dat reserveren is aan te raden aangezien we bijna elke dag het bordje “complet” hebben zien hangen bij de ingang.||||Wij gaan deze camping absoluut onthouden! Wie weet komen we volgend jaar terug. De omgeving is niet zo extreme als de drome bijv maar heerlijk landelijk en bosrijk, afwisselend, rustig, mooie natuur. We zijn er heerlijk tot...

Gorgeous campsite with choice of woodland and open fields with some trees. Very quite and excellent for birds. About 2km walk into town either on rough path or the road.
