Good points- ||The location is good for visiting this area of France and all it offers.||We were welcomed warmly by the new owners who said they had been there just one month. They were most helpful throughout and work very hard.||The site is well tended overall and on first appearances is good. The restaurant has good value and tasty food and is recommended.||Not so good points -||The toilet block was the worst we encountered in France this year. It is in dire need of refurbishment. Although I saw the owners cleaning it with a water hose when we used it it was dirty and in need of a deep clean. Lots of cobwebs and dirt around. No toilet seats, no toilet paper, no hand washing facilities at all. ||The pool looks pleasant but it needs more sun beds as the few on offer were hogged all day by some selfish people. The pool floor itself was an unpleasant slimy feel.||There were many residents who had a complete lack of respect for anyone else around our pitch. To a point I accept this is not in the control of the owners but some firm camp rules need to be enforced. So, we were subjected to an obvious “regular ” visitor who seemed to have set up a pub complete with gazebo, fridge & seating. Every day lots of neighbouring campers would head to the pitch drinking & smoking heavily ( including cannabis smell) ( we were unable to keep our windows open due to the awful smoke smell), shouting/ singing/ general rowdy / bad behaviour until the early hours of the morning. This seriously affected our enjoyment. To add insult they continually cut across others pitches having no regard for privacy of others. (See my photos showing a resident)||There was dog dirt on several pitches & verges around the camp. We have dogs & clean up after them but clearly others did not do so. ||This was one of the most expensive camps we stayed at (over £60 per night) and was the worst due to the poor behaviour of other campers and poor toilet / pool cleanliness. ||We would not...
Read moreWe were tired after travelling. Described as site speak English but it was below basic understanding. Card machine wouldn’t work so had to pay with our last euros. Pitch was advertised far bigger than it was. We were sent down a narrow track with little room to manoeuvre into a fairly small pitch with our large twin axle caravan. There was dog mess and food left on the pitch. We went to fill our aqua roll and took 20 mins to get it 1/3 full so we gave up. We decided after dinner at the onsite restaurant where I was served pizza with fly eggs on that we would move off early in the morning to the next site. Very dated facilities, low water pressure, to get electric you had to walk over someone else’s pitch and feed cable behind there kit. No toilet seats, lots of spiders, badly managed and not as described. Really dicey coming through the town at the bottom of the hill on one way with 40 foot of towing vehicle and caravan. Shame as beautiful location. Staff need to seriously consider there professionalism - he might even be the owner but...
Read moreLiked: Great location. The views driving to and from the site are amazing
Disliked: Owners attitude and pitch sizes.
Owner got quite arsey about the fact we sent food back as it had flies eggs on it. Wouldn’t have been a problem if he had just sorted it out but he was very rude and kept staring at us as we were eating afterwards.
Pitch sizes are a lot smaller than advertised and very tight to get into also electric points are not on every pitch we had to route out cable through another pitch under there motor home.
Toilet and shower blocks absolutely stank but were...
