A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Salavas

We recently stayed at this charming house nestled in the old village, and it was truly a hidden gem. The house, dating back to 1783, is beautifully decorated and surrounded by nature, offering a picturesque view filled with lush trees and the soothing sounds of birds singing. Despite the heat, we didn’t need to use the air conditioning, as the environment was naturally comfortable.

Upon entering the house, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Florence. Her impeccable attention to detail and commitment to making us feel at home were evident from the start. The service was top-notch and the cleanliness was impeccable.

We stayed for four nights and enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning. Florence’s dedication to detail shone through in every meal, and she made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed. We also had the pleasure of dining there, and the dinner was equally delicious.

Florence provided us with excellent tips on places to visit, which greatly enhanced our trip.

If you love nature, romance and seek tranquility, this is the perfect place.

The garden is perfectly maintained, a little oasis of peace and beauty, with a fantastic pool that we enjoyed every single day. It’s the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and simply enjoy life.

Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and incredibly comfortable — a true retreat. Every corner of the house reflects the passion and care that Florence puts into making this a special place.

And last but definitely not least: the food! Every meal was a delight — fresh, delicious, and made with so much love from regional products.

This place is a real gem in an idyllic setting. The accommodation is of a very high standard inside and the outside allows you to indulge yourself in a magnificent landscaped garden with a swimming pool. To put it in short; a feast for your eyes. Should you be unfortunate weatherwise there is an indoor XL jacuzzi. Florence the hostess merits top marks for her sense of welcoming. She is also an excellent cook and provides "yummy" breakfasts and evening meals (local products) if previously notified. The village of Salavas takes you on a trip through the past to another era and is very picturesque. I will definately be advising friends that Florence is well worthy of the "Superhostess Star" and look forward to going back to "Les Cents Ciels"....
