Great find! Excellent hotel in Le Mans
This was the last hotel available in the area so my expectations were not high. However this hotel is great! We stayed there for 3 nights and could not have been happier.
Price: Very affordable and far better than more expensive hotels we stayed at during our trip in France.
WiFi: Excellent, fast enough my wife and I could both watch Nextflix. Free included with room.
Rooms: Excellent. Very clean and nice. Bathroom clean. The rooms are small but all rooms in France are. Room was modern, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Can't say enough good things.
Breakfast: Again excellent. Out of the four hotels we stayed at in France this was by far the best with the best dinning area and breakfast.
Staff: They all spoke English and they were all very nice and went out of their way to make sure our stay was great.
Parking: Secure under ground, locked, parking in the hotel's garage. The entrance is a bit small if you have a big vehicle. Good for small cars and perfect for motorcycles knowing your bike is safe.
Location: It's a 3min walk to the main train station which has trans to the stadium and Le Mans race track. From the main station by the hotel the tram took about 10min to the the race track. It's about 2min walk to plenty of good restaurants. It's about a 10-15min walk to the old town section of Le Mans. We drove to the track on a Sat and with race traffic it took us about 10min to get to the track and another 10 to park.
I can't recommend this hotel enough. It's an excellent find with great...
Read moreI booked two nights (one July 24 and one Aug 3) between which I'll make a bike tour. I'd emailed the hotel about leaving a bag while I was away and they responded positively. However, three charges on my card were attempted (for one euro each) and my bank flagged the transactions as possible fraud. I've called the hotel three times and sent five emails without a response. My bank has shut off my card and I will need to find other lodging unless they clarify why they attempted these charges. I'm so frustrated!
Post trip update. When I did show up, after flying from Seattle and taking the train from Paris (with my bicycle in it's wheeled case), I dragged my bike box 1/2 mile to the hotel at about 4pm the day I'd scheduled to arrive, and all the lights were out. I rang and no one came to open the door. I needed to find another lodging option nearby that would hold my bike case for the week and make two reservations. I found what I needed in Ibis Centre Le Mans (Gare) and dragged my bike box another 1/2 mile through the rain after traveling for 24 hours. The Ibis Centre was a lovely hotel and the staff exceptiontionally gracious. I'm glad things worked out the way...
Read moreCame back to hotel in the evening after a long hot day out to find my room had been let to somebody else, despite the fact I had a confirmed booking. All my possessions had been removed from the room and piled on the dirty floor behind the reception (see photo) If there was a problem, why did the hotel not try to contact me or my booking agent when they had both our mobile numbers? The hotel had clearly made a mistake with the booking but were very unhelpful. They said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. They offered me no help or compensation and gave no apology for their double booking. Fortunately, my agent was able to find me a room in another hotel at great inconvenience to us both. On another note, the car park is totally unsuitable for modern cars and sports cars as room is very tight especially when car park is busy. And, the towels smell of...
