Well, this hotel. Presently, I am on a school residential trip exposing paris and it's surroundings(the stadium and a French school round 30 minutes away). Being a "county" boy (Surrey) I obviously am not accosted to the traffic of a larger city but, I'm here to review the hotel. Situate in a rather drab area of town, certainly "en banlieue" And rather run down ones at that.when one enters this hotel complex, the is a relatively confusing car park and some sad looking housing apartments in the complex to. The interior of the hotel lacks character and is very monastic, one set of chairs, a vending machine and confusing lifts. However, the staff were happy to help me, even after listening to my pathetic excuse for french oratorical skills, asking for the wifi code. They helped and managed to get it for me, and it's a good connection, even with 40 odd boys on it, it was good for a hotel. Anyway, after passing the front porch of the hotel and lifeless garden furniture in the front, one goes up a set of stairs to the rooms, mine being on floor 2, but all the rooms seemed the same in essence, one may have 2 of 3 single beds. Having three single beds for only two people in my room, I was surprised, it was... adequate; despite the pungent smell of cigarettes, the room was spacious. Only one window with a view of the motor way and rubbish bins, but, " c'est la vie", it's a 3 star, but a good one. The shower was old, a tad dirty, a few stains in the bath tub, but, it had great pressure and tempreture control so I'm very happy. I wish however, there was a bath mat though. The air conditioning was basic at best, and was almost obsolete, however, I was able to sleep with it "on" so the noise wasn't too great. Breakfast was adequate too, a plethora of french style foods, it was fine. Overall, this hotel was better than i thaught it could be, only, I would prefer a safe and wardrobe, other than that, keep going and...
Read moreI travel for a living and inspected hotels for seven years for a corporate client. We brought a group that booked seven rooms for several nights. I was tasked with getting the group set up with their luggage in their rooms. ||||You must enter through a security gate to gain access to the hotel. There were also security people outside the hotel on arrival. This tells me that the area is not safe. Also there are very minimal restaurants within walking distance (again, I wouldn't walk because of unknown security risks)||||For myself, I tried three different rooms because the a/c did not work in any of the three. Another member of our group, I moved into a second room, again, because the a/c didn't work in the first (the wall controller was missing pieces). It did work in the second, the the tub backed up when taking a shower. Two other people in our group didn't have a/c either. The water in the rooms smelled of sulfur and the rooms themselves smelled of smoke. ||||The rooms are not quiet as the windows (while closed) let in street noise and noise from people gathered outside to smoke.||||One elevator would not stop on the fourth floor. The other elevator's call button was completely missing on the seventh floor. The elevator cabs were filthy and one had holes in the wall. ||||The lobby area is very noisy. The food at the buffet was of marginal selection and quality. ||||We asked the front desk manager to cancel the rest of our reservation after one night because of the poor and misrepresented condition of the hotel. He refused. At this point, there was no confidence that a/c rooms could be provided based on our experience. We left the hotel and posted our complaint with our credit card company. Overall, this was by far the worst property I have stayed in in Europe. The hotel is dirty, noisy, poorly maintained and the management is...
Read moreWe stayed here for 8 nights. And was a direct upgrade of the Kyriad hotel room we stayed at the nights before.
The room is pretty big, coming with a nice sofa chair, a lamp that you can control from the bed. Big open window with a nice view. Came with some complimentary tea, coffee and a kettle to use for them. There’s a TV, but unfortunately all the channels were in French so we did not understand any of it.
The bathroom came with 2 towels, and a hand towel. A hand soap and a body wash dispenser both of which are good quality. A hair dryer attached to the wall. A shower/bath that gave you a good amount of space, do be careful that the water does not spray all over the room as it is very easy to get everything wet.
The cleaners are all very nice and helpful, you can leave signs for them if I you do not want your room cleaned or if you do. The check-in staff are (almost) always happy to help. Prosper was the guy who helped us a lot and he was very helpful to me and my boyfriend. We did speak to one woman and she was very rude, obviously ignoring us and being generally disrespectful but apart from that the staff were great.
There is a bar, and some things you can buy fro the fridges and cupboards near the check in desks that we took advantage of. Really recommend trying the Mr Min Spicy Ramen. It’s a little expensive but...
