Great place! First of all it is very dog friendly. The owner has two dogs. There is a big garden and the dogs can run without a leash. Our dog was very happy there and there was no extra charge for the dog. The garden is green with many vegetables. When we arrived the owner offered us a drink and that night he was preparing a dinner for another couple so we decided to eat there as well. The dinner was simple but very delicious made from the veggies from the garden (and vegetarian). Great tomatoes! For the dinner with a little bit of wine we paid 60 euros for two of us. It was also a nice experience as during the whole dinner we had a very interesting conversation with the other couple and the owner. The breakfasts were also very good - not only sweet things as it happens in France but also salty onces. Nice selection of bread, local cheese, lot of jams, tea, coffee etc. We really enjoyed it. The owner is extremely helpful, he recommended us places to visit. We stayed there 3 nights. The house is outside the village and it is better to use the car to go to Puivert. The only disadvantage is no air conditioning so it can get hot sometimes however there is a ventilator and also normally during the night the temperature goes down. Other than that no problems. I recommend it to everyone, especially to...
Read moreThe Moulin d’entre les roches stands in a description-defying category of its own. The road there took us through some of France’s wildest and most beautiful scenery and as we turned down the driveway to the Moulin, we were not quite certain what to expect of a place with such an intriguing name. ||However, we were soon drawn into the adventure of the place by the warm welcome of its owner, Ingo and the enthusiasm of his two dogs, Claudine and Bruno! Ingo has renovated this magical place, an old flour mill standing above a sparkling watercourse, with enormous talent, imagination, an eye for quality and taste and quite evidently, with love. He has spared no effort to provide for the well-being and entertainment of his guests and their children (as well as their animals, should they have them!). From the comfort and serenity of his colorful and beautifully appointed bedrooms, to the abundance and variety of his breakfast buffet, Ingo’s professionalism, attention to detail and generosity is evident everywhere and should you wish to have dinner at the Moulin, you are in for a star-quality experience as Ingo is a superlative chef! We unreservedly recommend this place that merits more than just...
Read moreWe stayed at this place for one week during the busy summer vacation period. Initially, I was unsure about the area but I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this area is and out one week just flew by.||||The B&B is a beautiful and cozy place 500 m outside the village of Puivert. The location is excellent as the main attractions in the area are all nearby. There is plenty to do at the b&B as well. My family spent hours every day working on our pool and ping-pong skills. If you are not into these things then there is a massive library and plenty of activities for kids. ||||Our room was spacious, beautiful, and very comfortable. During the hot days, it remained cool inside and we have a very good fan to keep the heat out as well.||||Ingo is a great host. He made us totally comfortable and provided great knowledge of the area. He even allowed us to cook in his kitchen :).||||All in all, a great place to stay in an area of France which you will...
