On the last day a gentleman who works at villa Le sud informed us that we have to pay a city tax of 8 euros. We had ran out of cash as it was our last day and so he offered to drive us to a cash machine down the road, we then had plans to go to a local vineyard to buy wine and then relax by the pool before our train journey home.||||When we arrived at the cash machine in his car we heard a crunch sound and I assumed the wheel of the car had scraped the curb, but it became apparent that somebody in another car had scraped the back of the car we were in. I did not think much of this as it wasn’t loud and didn’t move or jolt the car at all, it could not have been that serious.||||However this very much angered the gentleman driving us and after jumping out to have a look, he jumped back in the car and raced off in high speed pursuit of the car responsible. He raced at speeds of up to 70 kmh, darting in between cars, beeping people out of the way and even racing the wrong way down one way streets. I asked him to stop and consider that we are in the car with him and he ignored me completely. ||||He eventually stopped after 15 minutes or more when he found the alleged driver who scraped his car. He dangerously pulled her over. ||||We were relieved to be able to exit the car and get away from him. He showed no interest in how we were feeling or that we were leaving. We were very shaken up and felt sick for several hours after. We then had to begin our walk back to the accommodation - which was a massive waste of time and took 1 hour and a half uphill in the midday sun. By the time we got back we were covered in sweat, tired, shaken up and we were too late to go to the vineyard. ||||Not only did this completely ruin our last day on holiday, but this man put my girlfriends life and my life at risk. He took us on a dangerous, fast joyride against our will that could have easily ended in a crash, and at those speeds it would have been serious. ||||Booking.com offered no help and Villa Le Sud did not even respond to my...
Read moreWe had a really nice holiday at Villa le Sud. The surroundings are beautiful, the rooms are really clean, modern and stylish. The terrace in front of the rooms are nice to drink a wine in the afternoon. There are only 4 rooms, so its quiet. You can park your car and the centre of cassis is nearby (5 minutes by car). ||||You could notice however some startup hickups. First, it was a bit of a messy check in (no clear entrance, no welcome drink after a long drive). The owner only speaks French, which can be a bit difficult at times. ||||The wifi was very poor, there was no daily towel and sheet-change, even the garbage ban was not emptied every day (which you should expect paying 150 euro's a night). The breakfast was typically French, which means no cheese, ham or eggs but only sweet breads. However, these sweetnesses tasted nice and there was fruit and juice but some variations during the week would be appreciated. ||||All in all, we can really...
Read moreMagical place! The villa literally a 2 minutes drive away from the center of Cassis and the beach. The villa is also clean, charming, quiet... A typically french breakfast is served by the swimming pool, really nice and chilled out atmosphere. Each room has its own individual terrace where you can sit and relax day and night. We could have easily spent the whole stay in the villa if the city wasn't equally as good.||Nicolas the host was amazing, very welcoming, helpful always looking to help! He gave us all the good places to visit and where to eat. Paid 160 euros a night which wasn't over priced for the quality of service we received! ||Will definitely come...
