We arrived around 6 or 7pm in Montbard--much later than usual when we need a room. Anyway, I saw the Logis sign on the hotel. Having previously had experience with Logis, we checked in. There were VERY FEW hotels in or near town. We thought the price was a bit high, but we were tired after a long day. Breakfast was extra. We had to park the car in an unsecured garage (door open) about a block down the street.Back at the hotel, there was no elevator and we had to climb the dimly lit stairs to get to the room. The bannister was quite wobbly and we really had to watch our footing. Anyway, the room was ok enough for one night's stay and there were not many choices in the area. We walked a couple of blocks to get a quick dinner. Upon our return, we noticed the TV did not work. Eventually, the hotel proprietor came up to fix it. She was there for about 10 minutes, pushed some button, told us to wait for the machine to "load" (another 10-15 minutes)and then press the button. We followed directions and there still was no transmission. We figured we would just go to sleep and forget the tv. However, it was cold in the room. There was no way to operate the thermostat from the room so my husband went down the stairs to tell the proprietor that we wanted her to turn on the heat. She informed us that she had just been in our room and it was NOT COLD. She would not turn on the heat. With that, we took our...

Read moreNice little hotel, private, locked garage & we had a bedroom on front. Bathroom very nice, immaculately clean with good shower & nice towels. Bed & pillows very comfortable & nice linen.|We had a simply delicious dinner in the hotel on their "terrace". Three courses for E29 & the food was lovely. The couple who run the place are very attentive & we enjoyed a very pleasant evening.|The only criticism I have, is that it was very warm when we were there & we slept with the window open. Consequently it was a bit noisy - but I am a very light sleeper! Either shut the window or request a room at the back - I don't think our room had air conditioning. However, great nights stay -...
