A perfectly situated site. Almost on top of the beach and such a stunningly beautiful area. We stayed for 9 nights at the extended site just behind the main one and found the pitches to be huge and very level. Also a good degree of privacy between each pitch. It was a very quiet place and the signs ask for silence after 10pm. We slept in late most mornings because it was so quiet. The facilities on this extended site were kept perfectly clean all of the time it seemed. Showers were powerful and had good hot water. Don’t forget we were here mid September, I’m sure it would be harder to keep such high standards of cleanliness high season but I can’t say they don’t. The staff in reception speak English and are very helpful. Fresh bread can be reserved every day. Apart from the beaches there’s no shops, only a couple of restaurants and a beach bar. These are in the village of St pol de Leon. We hired an electric bike from 12pm to 7pm for €25 which we thought was very reasonable and we cycled to Carantec easily. St Pol de Leon is a lovely walk from here if you follow the pedestrian sign for the village centre. Hills are involved but the pedestrian way is not bad if you are only just moderately fit. Roscoff is also a lovely walk but takes considerably longer. Again very do able for the moderately fit. We would definitely recommended this campsite from our experience late September. You wouldn’t actually need to leave the area if you just love to be in the beach and the weather is good. A swimming pool is...
Read moreI stayed in one of the cabins for four days about a week ago and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay...I was in a blue cabin up on a hill... The weather was nice so this helped my view.. Good things... Fantastic view of the sea and beach.. I left the door open at night to listen to the waves.. Very cosy..a blanket is provided...I was warm enough and did not use my sleeping bag.. There is a table and seating close by.. There is a pull out seat in the front of the cabin along with a permanent fixed table built in..however I preferred to sit on the mattress just by the door.. The mattress provided is comfortable. I would have liked to have been inside the cabin with a storm blowing.. I spent a lot of time in the indoor pool with my daughter and her children...not too many people as it was the end of the season.. Plenty of places to walk to nearby and explore.. Look at the pictures...it is a beautiful location...great facilities..in my opinion the best campsite I have found in France...and just on the doorstep.. Bad things.. Cabin a bit low...however I would argue that this adds to the appeal...however a fortnight would be stretching it.. Finally I would emphasise....just look at the photo gallery pictures .....yes the site is...
Read moreWe recently spent a week here with our caravan. Lovely campsite within easy reach of Roscoff. The pitches were nice, level and a decent size with good privacy. It was quiet at night apart from mopeds on the road outside. Inside pool was great for cold or rainy days, outside pool was a firm favourite with the kids because of the slides. Playground was beside the pool with bouncy castle, trampoline (lots of arguing about taking turns on this!), climbing frame with slide etc. There were activities every day like aqua aerobics, sandcastle competitions and there were great suggestions for day trips posted daily. Shower blocks, toilets and laundry facilities were great and very clean. Staff were lovely. The location was super - right on the beach and with stunning views of Roscoff, Concarneau and St Pol de Leon. There is a free shuttle bus into town every 25 mins all day which was brill. We loved the chilled out vibe and look forward to returning! Only thing lacking is a shop. There were a few essentials for sale in the bar but not enough. Baguettes were available to order...
