I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend from the 21st of August to 24th of August 2024. In those 3 nights we were met with exceptional service from the staff from check in right up to check out. Shoutout to Mickael and Maeva for being so approachable and willing to answer every single question we had. As this was our first time in the South of France, Maeva helped so much with how we should plan our trip, advising on travel arrangements and towns to visit, whether we should take the bus/train and the cheapest ways to do so! Mickael on the other hand gave us a great deal on a room upgrade to the junior suite, even showing us the room beforehand to ensure we could make an informed decision. He even recommended good value beach clubs to see in Nice which was much appreciated. 4 stars given to location as it will not be as central as staying on the Promenade by the beach. However, there is a tram right across the road from the hotel that takes you to main attractions and a plus point for the fact that the 12 bus which takes you to the airport and back is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Travel felt seamless, trams ran til late night and the area felt very safe so we did not mind it but this might be a dealbreaker if you want to be located in a super duper central location directly by the beach. It is also worth noting that the Nice Requier station is a 10 minute walk away, which is convenient to go to other towns in the South of France. We managed to stay in both a Superior room and a Junior Suite. I found the Superior room was sufficient for all our needs, comfortable and clean with plenty of space to fit all our belongings for 4 days. The junior suite which we upgraded to however was amazing! I would like to highlight the in-room jacuzzi which was an amazing treat to indulge in after a long day of walking and exploring. The only feedback I have regarding the junior suite was the awkward placement of plug points. For example, there is no plug point next to a mirror, so I had to use my smartphone camera as a mirror when doing my hair. This might just be me nitpicking and was not too much of a dealbreaker throughout my stay. Overall, I will keep this hotel in mind again for my next time in Nice (which after my recent trip will hopefully be very soon!). Highly recommended if you are looking for a pleasant stay as you explore the wonderful region of the South...
Read moreStayed here for 4 nights in Sept and would recommend. Rooms are large and very clean. Air conditioning worked very well and was quiet. Separate toilet and large shower room. Plenty of hot water and toiletries supplied. Comfy bed, bedding and towels changed daily and room servicing was excellent. Room had a fridge and kettle, plenty of wardrobe space. Only slight moan is the walls must be thin as could hear baby crying next door. Not a lot you can do about that but ask for a room with no baby next door? All staff in reception and restaurants were very friendly and helpful. |We had breakfast included and this set us up for the day. Cereals, fresh fruit, juices, cheeses and salads and yogurt. An omelette station (which you may miss if you didn’t know it was there). You need to select what you would like then take it to the bar and they will cook a delicious omelette for you. Plenty of fresh bread, pastries and cakes. No traditional English cooked if that’s what you are after. |Hotel is close to train station if you fancy a trip to Monte Carlo- cost about 5€ and train was very comfortable, this was a great day out. The tram stops right outside the hotel and this gets you all round the city. Hotel to airport cost €30 on Über. We did the Hop on Hop off bus tour and it was a great way to see all the sights. Lots of wonderful Gelato shops 😀. |20 mins walk to the beach which was clean, had plenty of space and had showers provided. Not too busy but you need beach shoes as pebbly. 15 mins walk from the hotel to the Old Town where there are loads of shops and restaurants. Markets to browse in the morning and the evening with fresh produce and gifts.|The pool was small but very clean, you wouldn’t get a sun bed at busy times and it was very shallow, towels supplied.|Rooftop bar had a great vibe and the food and drinks were very nice. The area the hotel is in felt very safe and we walked often late at night. Was surprised the hotel window fully opened so be aware of this if you have children as 5 floors up it’s a long way down! There are many local restaurants and a shopping centre 5 mins away with a Carrefour where you could buy inexpensive snacks and drinks. Nice itself is not cheap but it was a wonderful trip and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel...
Read moreTerrible Experience – Poor Standards and Atrocious Service
Unfortunately, our stay at NH Hotels in Nice was extremely disappointing due to the appalling level of customer service. Despite booking a three-day stay, we ended up checking out early and booking another hotel for our final night.
On our second day, we politely requested a change of bed sheets—a very basic and reasonable request, especially for a three-night stay. Shockingly, the staff, including a concierge lady, spoke to us in an incredibly rude and dismissive manner in front of other guests. They claimed, quite aggressively, that due to "environmental reasons," they would not change the sheets—even after we made it clear we specifically wanted fresh bedding. After a frustrating back and forth, the staff begrudgingly agreed to change them "this once," but told us it would not happen again, in a demeaning tone.
Everyone has different hygiene standards, and denying a guest’s request for clean bedding—when asked directly and repeatedly—is simply unacceptable. The attitude with which this was handled was even worse than the policy itself.
To make matters worse, the room was clearly set up for two people despite three of us checking in. We were only given two sets of towels, and one bed didn’t even have a pillow. These are basic hospitality standards that were completely overlooked.
When we raised these concerns with the manager, he was unhelpful and dismissive, initially invalidating our experience and offering no immediate resolution. He only stated that he would speak to the staff member the following day, and then mentioned that changing sheets daily had been approved—which made the situation feel even more absurd. Why did it require a manager’s approval for such a simple request in the first place?
To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout our stay—constantly weak, with only one or two bars of signal at most.
The overall attitude, lack of professionalism, and disregard for guest comfort made our trip stressful instead of enjoyable. Sadly, we had to cut our stay short because the environment became intolerable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values basic service and...
