Me and my partner made a reservation through booking.com for a cocosweet for 4 nights, staying 12th-16th august. All I can say that it was something out of a nightmare. ||We were placed in cocosweet 5. ||The accommodation was absolutely infested with insects in the fridge, in the sleeping space and in the living area. To the point that we had to leave and pay for a nearby hotel as I feared we would be bitten to death in the night. This is not a negative comment on the styling and facilities of the cocosweet - they are as pictured but my god they have an infestation issue of some sort. That may have been sweet 5 only but I am not to know! Every crevice midges and mosquitoes were crawling out. As soon as we dealt with one moth or spider , three more would appear. It was horrific. ||Second of all the bathrooms were utterly disgusting. There was faeces and toilet paper blocking every single toilet. They didn’t flush. There was no running water in the bathroom taps and the walls and floors were filthy. It looked like there was no attempt at cleaning what so ever. ||We arrived a little later than planned and we let the property owners know through the messaging service on booking.com. This was no problem and they advised the key would be left in sweet 5 as they had left for the day. We arrived and attempted to settle in. Conscious of the fact time was getting on and there was nobody physically at the campsite, we did panic a little as to what we were going to do when the bugs kept coming and coming…||We decided to speak to the property in the morning and book a nearby ibis for the night. We had been travelling since 6am, by this point it was turning 11pm and we were exhausted and couldn’t deal with this anymore. ||The next morning we messaged the property again (we drove back but again nobody was actually on the premises). We said we had to leave because of the issues above. We said would happily pay for the first night, despite not actually staying there, and asked if would they refund us for the remaining 3 nights. They were very apologetic and sympathised with our issues and said if we take it up with booking.com they would authorise this refund. I had these messages, so we went about our trip, happily booked an alternative accommodation and thought nothing of it. It had been 24 hours since contacting booking.com and I had not heard anything. I decided to call booking.com and they advised they did contact the property and said effectively they outright refused to provide us a refund and cancelled our booking based on the fact we never turned up! Which is not true. Booking.com advised they could see the messages between me and the property and were trying to get hold of the property themselves to discuss. ||I didn’t get as many photos as we needed to leave, but these are just a few examples. The particular bother was them in the fridge and above our pillows. I also have a video of midges and mosquitos coming out the ceiling. ||Now I could go on to state my issues with booking.com and their subsequent poor attitude towards me but that’s a separate issue. ||Ultimately, the compassion of this property is all a facade. They claim they care for their clients and want to provide the best service but when it boils down to it they really aren’t interested and are just happy to take your money. They flat out denied that they agreed to refund us the remaining 3 nights. (Despite messages stating otherwise) If you want my advice, do not entertain coming to stay here. Do not think they genuinely care about your experience, they don’t. ||We have both had experiences prior of camping, and to me this is advertised as more of a “glamping” experience. It is not just a tent. Upon booking, the cocosweets looked secure, they looked clean and spacious and I definitely would not expect issues with extreme numbers of insects and bugs with this style of property. Don’t fall for the pictures because the reality is very different. ||All this has caused is complete stress for me and my partner. This was a trip away we had been looking forward to for a long time and it was almost ruined by the experience with this property. ||Just avoid this place and book a hotel or Airbnb, it is not worth it unless you are happy to live in bug city! If I could leave zero...

Disliked: On our 2nd day staying at the campsite, we retuned early afternoon to our motorhome and it was lovely and peaceful….then at around 4pm a load of cars arrived with lots of dogs in them. As they were setting up camp, the dogs continually barked and barked. The owners didn’t seem bothered by this and this barking carried on for at least 2/3 hours. It sounded like we were at a dog kennels (so loud) and at times the dogs were attacking each other too. It was horrendous!!!! By now the other campers on site were all gathered together, complaining about all the noise. I decided to go and speak to the manager on site. I was a little taken back her her attitude she told me that I already knew about the dogs arriving that day? which I didn’t! No one told us anything. Apparently there was a dog race the following day and there was 200 dogs taking part with a lot of them arriving that evening/morning. Her words were to me, I cannot go and tell the dog owners to shut the dogs up, as a lot moreother dogs were going to arrive later and make even more noise. She told me my only option was to leave the site and go and stay at another site 20kms away which she could organise for us. My wife and I decided to stay that night using earplugs to sleep overnight then we got up at 6 am and left the site soon after as we knew the dog race started at 8 am. I really felt sorry for the other campers who had to stay for another night or two listening to the dogs barking continuously. Also the toilets had no seats (normal for France) no toilet paper (not normal for France) and no...
