I stayed in Albert for a couple of weeks in July 2001 (camped at the velodrome) and the Cafe aux trois pigeons was my temporary "local" and Thierry a great host and barman - unlike others in Albert, he did not try to teach me how to say beer, just accepted my "accent Australienne" (though he did think me Sud Afrikanner at first) as is and he spoke better English than I could French.
