I appear to be visiting hotels with facilities that close on the day I visit, so unlike the Queen who thinks everything smells of wet paint, I think all hotel bars and restaurants are closed!|This hotel is a business hotel that does not want weekend visitors.|We arrived late on a Friday evening on a one night stay in a quad room.|The hotel is situated on an industrial estate next to a motorway, the welcoming sign indicating that the car park has no CCTV greeted us as we drove into the empty car park.|The reception guy was okay and paused his telephone conversation to deal with us.|Our room was on the top floor, was large clean and spacious but very hot and noisy from road noise from a motorway outside that never quiets down...slight exaggeration but when I got to sleep finally at 4 it was still noisy.....better air con and sound insulation would help.|Breakfast was good although guy overseeing, when not looking at his smart phone, was a little eager to clean away the buffet but not the dishes from other tables..might have been hungry.|This hotel follows the formula of a budget business hotel so can't fault that model , breakfast was good, as was the price, got 4 hours sleep so not happy with that and the fact restaurant and bar shuts at the weekend and staff acted like as if they would rather be elsewhere...I certainly...
Read moreI was here for 3 days on my work trip. Since the job was in this part of France I didn't had too much choice. The location and parking of hotel are great. You are next to the main road (it is a bit noisy in the night but not too bad). The staff is really nice, professional and speaks good English. Rooms are nothing to write about but not bad. Bathrooms are a bit dated but clean with enough towels that are changed daily with no problems. Overall the hotel shows it's age and if you need elevator there is none. The biggest problem for most will be (especially in cold months) that the room heater is small and have to be tinkered with, so that it will properly heat the room. For me is not that big of a deal but for those that are cold fast it will be. Breakfast is diverse enough for few days. You have some eggs with bacon, pancakes, fruits, salami, cheeses, jams, croissants, müssle, toast, bread, yogurt and juice. I was only once on the dinner so I can't really speak about it but it was not that good. The stake and potatoes were both cold and the price...
Read moreFirst impressions were that of a tired hostel, and when I was confronted by the front of reception staff, I then realised that it wasn't just the décor that could do with some life injected into things. ||||Sighs, general tics of nonchalance and a surprising grip of the English language were the mixed overtones I received from the staff, and I made my way to my room. ||||That was when my eyes were accosted.||||The carpet was an acerbic blend of musty aromas and bleach stains, and my shower had a close friend that was introduced to me - mould. ||||The TV was loose in its bracket and the bed was not the freshest. ||||My stay lasted about ten minutes, before I had organised another room elsewhere, that delivered on the basics; i.e cleanliness and comfort. ||||I couldn't be paid to return here. It has a brazen cheek to call itself a hotel - it's a blatant disregard for advertising regulations. In truth, it's closer to a kennel for...
