Hôtel Le Moulin De Lily — Hotel in Palaiseau

We choosed this hotel to be our little escape from Paris aglomeration , me and me husband we used to go there to relax few times per year. Moreover , when we got married in September 2017, we booked several rooms for several nights for us and our guests.In October me and my husband booked 1 night at Key west suite.unfortunately we had the impression that our booking was on saturday 21st ,but on friday night on the 20th october around midnight w receive a phone call from the hotel regarding our reservation that we booked for 20th and not 21st.We appologised and asked if we can came tomorrow instead or if not ,w could still go that night since w live very close to the hotel..the receptionist said no problem,we may come tomorrow for the same room type.Next day morning ,my husband called to make sure our booking is ok.Instead one lady very rude who was suppose to be the owner of the hotel, said this room type is occupied for 21st and also they charged us for the previous night without notification!In vain we tried to explain that yesterday w have been told by the receptionist that its fine to come next day , the lady even called us a lier!We asked if possible to come during the week since we are repeat guests,they can make a nice gesture for us but the answer was a clear No!its not about the money here only,its about the fact that management do not care about their guests!we used to go there at least few times per year and i used to recommend this room to all our friends and on my social media websites.you got richer with 160 euro but you have lost some guests that would have come to relax into your olace at least few times a year! It is so dissapointing your reaction at our request and i believe is the worst customer...

We flew to Tenerife for the New Year, but the hotel breakfast looked positively ghastly so we went walking to see what we could find. We came across this small restaurant advertising English breakfast so we thought we'd pop in and have a look. That sealed our fate and we there every day for the rest of the week. Just a standard English breakfast, cooked to perfection and served by English people who are polite, professional, engaging and willing to have a chat, when service allows. And the service, well that was second to none. I did say it was only a small restaurant, so you have to be there early because it fills up very quickly, but if it is full, it's well worth waiting for a table to come free. Lily also provides a take-away service if you prefer to eat back in your hotel room or better still, on the beach. She will also prepare sandwiches for your lunch if your planning to spend the day on the beach. Both take-away service and sandwiches service are also up to the same high standards and we were very pleased with our BLT and ham and cheese (english cheese) on both of our beach days. Very nice, with a great Swiss atmosphere. Arrived around 20.00 on our way through. Arriving at a Swiss style lodge with some great woodwork art. Totally unexpected in this part of France, we decided to stay the night. Restaurant was bustling but they found us a table. A room was also available at a very good rate of 89 euros, weekend rate. |Room small but very clean and well appointed. Very luxurious bathroom and separate toilet. Shower was fantastic. |Restaurant was very busy. We chose the foi gras with fig, very nice. The cheese fondue was very nice, a bit much for us, very tasty though! |Great nights sleep and the best breakfast we had in France for years. Especially the ham was delicious. |Pleasant surprise, would also recommend for a longer stay when visiting Paris by car, to avoid the ridiculous cost and poor service of Parisian hotels....
