We spent the first 5 days in the campsite down the road "Deux Fontaines" and wish we had found Vieux Verger from the start. I can't believe that this has only received a 2* rating. In our opinion it is significantly better than the other campsite that we were paying double the amount for. Vieux Verger is a quiet, family run campsite that has predominantly French families visiting. It has a super swimming pool/water park and 2 well placed park areas. It has washing and drying facilities. The water for doing the dishes was boiling hot and readily available. The showers and toilets were clean and the buttons on the shower allowed for a suitable amount of water to be released without the frustration of having to keep pressing down. The only negative thing I can think of is that the campsite is split over 2 x sites and the bottom site possibly has too few showers/toilets for the amount of pitches. However the upper site had more on offer and we never experienced a time when we were unable to shower or use the toilet and we went in August when all pitches were full. ||An absolute star of a campsite that is incredibly good value for money in relation to...
Read moreWonderful medium sized site ideal for families with young children. Provides a combination of wonderful facilities with relative peace and a calm safe environment. No noisy bars or discos! Fantastic fun pool, particularly great for children up to about 14 years of age. Spotlessly clean toilet, shower and washing facilities. Two small but well presented play areas for younger children. Table tennis. Two campsite zones, one closer to the pool with medium sized pitches, second a very short walk away from the pool (about 200m) with larger pitches. Easy access by car, bike or on foot to a variety of beautiful coves. Nearest beach about one mile. Welcoming helpful owners. Best to book in advance or phone ahead before arriving during peak season. A real treasure of a site! Enjoy! (But leave space...
Read moreWe stayed here for ten days in summer 2017. The pitches are very large and lots of plant life separating you from your neighbour. ||||I have used their planting scheme as an inspiration for our garden design. They are clearly very keen gardeners. The whole site looks lovely. ||||The problem we found was with the toilet block. There weren't enough female showers for demand. Also they were an after thought to the main block. My teen daughter ended up showering in the male toilet block because the female ones were rubbish. I showered in the main block near reception one day and they were vastly superior. make it the same on the other camp area and you...
