Really pretty campsite. On the small side. The pool area is beautifully done.Needs a bit of maintenance as broken filter covers & trim coming away from inside pool. But I am sure they will sort this when the season ends. The outside bar area us very nice. But was only open once whilst we were there.Last week in August.Reading other reviews this is not unusual. If it is advertised then it should be open. They also advertised waffles & ice- creams outside but neither were available Entertainment was mostly in French so can't fully comment. However that was not too much of an issue we still joined in where we could & had fun.Though the quiz might have been a bit of a problem 😀.The accommodation, a lodge for 4 was clean. No oven ( as advertised),not too much of an issue apart from the fact that 2 of the hobs burners weren't working. The vent in the lounge area leaked when it rained, luckily on our last 2 days but the seat cushion was mouldy at the corner so think this is an ongoing issue. The curtains at the window are a very small square of fabric that doesn't cover the windows fully.( please replace them). The outside furniture was dirty, had to clean it first & the tables plastic had degraded but these are not big issues.Overall the campsite is pretty, mostly well maintained. Disappointing that the bar area wasn't open & ice-creams weren't available from there.Although they were available from the inside bar. There was no security that we could see so could get rowdy in high season. But Staff were pleasant & tried to include us as British with little French, though I did try.We had a good time & would recommend the campsite overall. If the bar area was open & a few more activities & a better shop it would have got a higher rating. We were still in August until the last 2 days of our stay yet much was unavailable. On the plus side the pool was lovely & peaceful. The village a few minutes walk has a fab restaurant, a beautiful 15th Century Church & older outdoor font, & a great boulangerie. The surrounding area has a lot of beautiful beaches. The point at Trevignon was lovely & others nearer Nevez were fab.So many pretty villages nearby with Pont Aven & Quimper & Concarneau not too far.We had a fab time & even joined in at St...
Read moreImagine an American trailer park… would you really want to go on holiday there? ||We were fooled by the description online. These are not ‘lodges’ - these are static caravans. They are very small (even our luxury 4 bed option), flimsy and noisy. Be prepared to hear every bodily function of your entire family and possibly those of your neighbours for the entire trip. I’m not joking - you can even hear when your children turn over in bed. ||Decking area is pleasant which means people sit out in the evening talking loudly while you are trying to sleep. ||Pool area is nice. Indoor pool is warm. Slides were fun. Staff are pleasant. ||Whole thing feels a bit disorganised. Our caravan wasn’t very clean - dust under beds, toilet a bit grubby. Couple of items left in cupboards. We arrived at 8pm - had no gas so couldn’t cook or use the showers - nobody came to replace the tank until the next morning despite us asking. ||We hadn’t done eurocamp before so didn’t realise we needed to bring everything - washing up liquid/ cloths / tea towels / bin bags - would have been useful to know in advance. ||If you want to order bread + pastries you need to do it at reception the night before. You can’t pick them up until 8:30 am (two hours after your kids wake up) and the pool doesn’t open until 10 am (not really sure why when it’s rarely lifegaurded. ||Beaches are Trevignon are nice. Kingoland is fantastic and Carcaneau nice for a day out. ||If you like eurocamp and know what to expect this is probably an ok one but we wish we’d just booked a traditional self...
Read moreAs you can see from the reviews this camp site does not get many English visitors but that is not to say you won't be made very welcome. The pool complex at the campsite is one of the best we've seen in France with indoor and outdoor pools and slides. On a hot day you'll be spending a lot of time there - although another hot tub would be welcome as families do tend to 'settle in' to the one they have for long periods. A special mention should go to the pool lifeguard who was vigilant and proactive at all times (not something you can always say) and was good at making sure the teenagers weren't overly exhuberant which can make it hard for those with younger children. The bar and restaurant on site are good, although these spaces do lack intimacy, feeling a little bit like a service station. This is made up for by the staff, especially those behind the bar, who are helpful and have a good sense of humour. ||||We were camping with a tent and our pitch wasn't the biggest we've ever been on but there are lots of good sized pitches on site. The toilets and showers at this campsite are plentiful and always very clean - with toilet paper provided. The on site shop is a bit limited and the supermarket at Nevez is a bit of a drive but when you get there has the best fish counter you've ever seen. The size of the site is just right and the nearby town of Point de Trevignon (10 mins cycle) has good bars and a splendid 'Poissonade' (a kind of a moule fest) in August. Would recommend for...
