This is a lovely 'garden' site - mostly pods but also spaces for tents and motorhomes. There are lovely garden walks and a lake - very picturesque. The motorhome/camping area is quite a distance from the reception area so be prepared to walk or bring your bikes - Im not joking! When we arrived at 2.30pm there was someone already in the stand number we had been given. He apparently should have moved that morning as he wasn't booked for that day but nobody came to move him on. We found a member of staff nearby but they weren't really interested - so we had to go to an adjacent stand. Nobody seemed to be bothered. But, we were on holiday so didn't stress. The pool area is very nice - but very (very) cold. There was to be a kids pool but that was being erected whilst we were there. There are at least two toilet/shower blocks but be aware the cleaner comes at around 8.30am and closes them off for cleaning, we had to stand and wait first thing in the morning - poor management as that's when they are busiest. There was a lot of building work around - mostly erecting new pods - and it was quite noisy at times. The 'shop' is actually just a vending machine in the cafe/restaurant area so don't rely on it for more than a very small selection of very basic items. The biggest issue we had was with the wifi. As instructed by the receptionist we contacted Osmozis which is the French company the campsite has contracted to supply the wifi to the site. We purchased a 3 day, 3 devices plan - I work in healthcare and I needed to check emails. It only worked for one day then it stopped. We rang Osmosis to be told the antenna at the site had broken and would be fixed. After a lot of phone calls and visits to reception - it never was fixed. I asked for return of money for the 2 days it hadn't worked and was pushed from pillar to post. They kept saying it was working when it clearly was not. Then a technician was to come out - again they did not. So when I returned home I contacted the site and explained what had happened. It's not important that it was not a great deal of money, its the principle which is important. The site raised the issue with Osmozis who said we had received the wifi service. Even after me sending the site all the information & evidence they refused to refund. So I would not recommend purchasing wifi at this site. All in all, the landscaped gardens are lovely, the buildings are lovely, the walks are lovely but its really geared towards static pods and appear to see camping/motorhomes as somewhat secondary to that main business. There are other lovely sites in the area which really value the mobile...

We spent a couple of nights on this campsite last week and were very disappointed with the standard of service provided. It’s not, in our opinion, a fair representation of one of the Les Castels sites and certainly not worth a 5* rating. ||||The positives first - the setting is very nice and is close enough to be able to walk into Quimper town centre. Our accommodation was spotless and had been well represented in the photos on the website. The only public area we got to see was the bathrooms in the reception area and they were bright and clean. The site includes a golf course which appeared to be busy (it's open to all for a fee).||||Unfortunately staff were in short supply (we only met one at check-in and again when checking out and we saw another clearing leaves during our stay). We arrived at 5.40pm (check-in was from 5pm) and were told our accommodation was not ready. We were booked to stay in one of the apartments on the site. We were asked to come back after half an hour and were also told reception was closing early that evening, as was the take-away. The restaurant, bar and grocery were not opening at all. When we came back we were told there was a private function due to start and it would run until 11pm. Unfortunately our apartment was located directly behind the private function room. There was noise and a large number of people from the function standing outside talking and smoking for most of the evening. As the evening wore on someone got hold of the “mike” and he and his pals entertained everyone with his bad singing until after midnight. It appeared that there was no member of staff around to quite literally pull the plug on him! ||||Next morning I confirmed with the reception desk (same girl again) that there were no further functions organised and got some of the information on the site that I would have liked the previous evening, had she not been in such a rush - re. rubbish disposal, laundry facilities etc. ||||All in all our stay was a disappointment and I wouldn’t...

I very rarely post reviews, particularly in the current climate when many businesses are struggling post pandemic, however, having regularly camped over many years including the last two years, I feel I have to comment on our experience last week at this so called ‘5 star’ site.||I can only assume the precious 5 star rating that attracts people to this site was awarded in the 1980’s which is when the place last deserved such a rating.||I appreciate we visited out of season, but foolishly enticed by the website we thought this would be a good addition to our current motorhome tour of Europe. I would also add that we have stayed in other campsites on this same trip that have been incredible with a less star rating than this place. ||I can honestly say that the camping element of this establishment is bordering on dereliction. It is truly terrible. The pitches are a mess, the toilets are a mess and were not cleaned at any time during our stay (we left early and lost our pre paid money…it really was that bad).||The public areas are a mess, overgrown, unusable….the ||Campsite swimming pool, whilst admittedly closed due to Covid, resembles a cesspit.||I urge you not to bother, it is awful.||They should stop ripping people off and give up on the campsite as they clearly have no interest in providing anything that is anywhere near an acceptable standard…stick to the golf and weddings, at least then you won’t be letting...

Typical great standard from Sunelia. Stayed on a camping pitch in our van, it was large and shaded which was OK. Quite a trek to empty grey water and get fresh drinking water. The newer shower and toilet blocks on the West of the site were amazing. Like a private bathroom almost with toilet, sink and shower to yourself. The grounds are amazing, the trampoforest (massive trampoline in the trees up to 8 metres in the air) was free and very popular. Connected to that for over 10s is a zip wire loop which takes around 20 minutes ,costs 5 euro and is lots of fun. There is a Riverside walk which is a bit overgrown in places but worth 20 minutes. Pool with slides was great and not too busy, you can usually find a lounger. Pretty dog friendly and dogs can swim an hour either side of high tide (they will get very muddy at lower tides but you can use the motorhome service point to wash them)

Large campsite with gites and a huge camping area. There is also a 9-hole golf course and a couple of restaurants, épiceries and a swimming pool. Alas, out of season most of this was closed, though the bar and restaurant near the entry are open, probably because of the golf course. The grounds are gorgeous, trees, flowers, birds and open spaces. R says not as claustrophobic as the previous campsite. There should be a 2K walk into the centre of the city which misses the main road in. We shall see tomorrow. Reckon we have struck lucky here, lots of bird song, and relatively quiet despite being near to the main roads. There was so much blossom and flowers. Very tranquil.

We booked through eurocamp as a last minute rescheduled holiday and I was pleasantly surprised. The location of this site is great, its not far from the train station or shops. The shop available on site has the basics, with any bakery breakfast items needing to be ordered the day before. I found the pricing fair. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly. Indoor and outdoor pools were slightly heated and the kids enjoyed themselves despite the poor weather. The gardens and the views across the lake were lovely. Our visit was just out of season so we had a really nice quiet holiday.
