Au potager de Lanniron — Restaurant in Quimper

After phoning on numerous occasions and leaving messages we had to actually go to the restaurant to book a table. The chef seemed very surprised that we wanted to book a table for later that evening. We turned up and we were the only ones there for a few minutes then another table of 4 people arrived. He handed us a hand written menu on a plastic board which I thought was the specials but turned out that was the menu!! No starters, 4 main courses and 3 desserts. I had the Ceasar salad which was ok and my husband had what can only be described as kebab meat without the pita with chips & salad. The chips were very nice but he didn’t like the kebab meat - very processed & tasteless. There was one other member of staff who just sat at another table drinking coffee and watching the TV. We sat with our plates in front of us waiting to be cleared away for a good 30 minutes. Whilst we were waiting we could see the chef & other member of staff outside both on their phones. Eventually the member if staff came back in and we called him over to ask if we could order desserts. He sort of panicked and went to fetch the chef. The chef came back in - still on his phone - and ignored us and proceeded to make himself a cup of coffee!!!! We’d had enough of being ignored by this time and went up to him and said we were going and paid the bill. My wife tried to say to him that we wanted a dessert but he just acted like he didn’t understand - yet he understood us perfectly when taking the order!! Terrible place - don’t...

Terrible experience at this restaurant. No-one bothered to bring us menus so had to go get these ourselves after 20 mins. Then after eventually ordering waitress came 15 mins later to tell us they didn't have what some of our party ordered. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes to order alternative items as the waitress prioritised other people. Food then took over an hour but massive time gaps between our party members being served. Food was very bland and forgetable. We told the waitress what we thought when asking for the bill who seemed surprised with an excuse of the restaurant was busy (it only had about 12 tables). Nice location, we went there for a dinner. The place was not full, there were people outside, but insidie was almost empty. The food was good, nothing exceptional, and bit on the heavy side. The service was something else; i have to say they were all young, but they seemed to not know what to do at all. We were served a plate of mixed meat and cheeses, with nothing to drink, it took 20 mins for the 2 beers to appear, and almost 30 for a botte of water.
