We stayed 3 nights here on a Newmarket Holidays tour to Paris and reading previous reviews I was very apprehensive about the hotel. I was prepared for the worst and not expecting too much considering the price we paid for the holiday.||||I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Although the hotel is in an industrial estate type area, with only a few eating places nearby which are open at random, our room backed onto a residential street and was quiet at night. We slept with the window open and were woken by the birds singing in the trees outside.||||Our twin room was small but quite adequate and spotlessly clean, with TV on which we could get a BBC news channel, kettle with a small selection of drinks, bottled water every day & comfortable beds & pillows. There was a small fridge but ,although it was on, didn’t get very cold but this was a minor niggle. The bathroom was modern and again spotless. Towels and soap were replenished each day.||||The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant which opened specially to provide a very good late dinner when we arrived on the Friday evening. (The restaurant does not open at weekends) We were served a cheese tart and salad to start, followed by a choice of either duck or salmon & finishing with a lovely fruit crumble. The cost was 24 euros. Very good indeed.||||The piece de resistance however was the excellent buffet breakfast which we looked forward to each morning. Served in the sunny dining room there was a very good selection of fruit, cold meat, cheese, cereal, yogurt, baked goods, fresh fruit juices, boiled eggs, pancakes & maple syrup, bacon, sausages and the best scrambled eggs that I have EVER had! Everything was kept topped up as soon as it ran out, so no one went without.||||There are several small outside seating areas with comfortable furniture. All in all, a very nice hotel for the price paid. I have certainly paid more for much less. We would happily...

Read moreLikes: Location is nice, easy accessible with enough parking places; There is a nice park nearby were you can take a walk/run; Hotel building is looking decent, access to your room being facile; Staff was very attentive, smiling and interested in your accommodation; Sleeping was good, even if it was on a hard side mattress, my sensible back did not complain. Dislikes: Poor breakfast choices (apparently is on French style therefore I won't comment about it but take into consideration that it costs 17 eur); Cleaning (even if it is on demand) was a waiste of time. They literally arranged the bed sheets and pillows, changed the towels and spread the dirt from one part of the room into the whole room; Doors were squeaking, room door dampers not maintained (causing you to jump out of bed every time when someone was leaving/entering their room at uncommon hours); Even if it was a quiet location after 23:00 an annoying humming was coming from nearby (only the rooms from the back of the hotel were affected); Price overall is not on par with...
