Camping De La Météorite SARL — Hotel in Rochechouart

Very disappointed as we booked in May on the website for a stay in September and received a confirmation email. Before we travelled we tried to look again at the website, no web page as it only goes to a Wordpress page. No web site. Tried to email and just get a message not delivered reply as the remote server not configured. Upon our arrival we paid the balance and then shown to the mobile-home/caravan. It was not the one we had booked (we booked via the plan/map on the website and our booking confirmation stated which caravan we had chosen. When we got inside it was not how we had remembered it from the pictures when we booked, but as the website is not working, we could not check. There were only very basic crockery/cutlery in the kitchen. Which was very dated and tired looking. No kettle and no toaster, but again we couldn’t check if they were meant to be there due to no web site. The van was a lot smaller than we were expecting from the pictures that again, we had only seen back in May. The beds were cramped and uncomfortable with no room around them. We decided that staying would spoil our holiday and so after 3 hours managed to find alternative accommodation locally and left. The location however was lovely, and if we’d been in our own campervan or tent it would have been fine. Tried to email to request a refund, but email message is not delivered and just gets returned to me as server not configured. Camping De La Meteorite, Please sort out your email and website so customers can contact you.

Beautiful ,tranquil site. Plots very large, pool fantastic, ice cold cocktails on sale all day. Thursday night was party night with a burger van turning up on site which sold the most amazing largest burgers I have ever had, nice music too and beer 🍺. The owners are incredible, nothing is too much trouble, they froze water for us and kept our wine chilled and morning they deliver bread and croissants to tour pitch. If you're looking for a great, relaxing place to eat near Rochechouart ( the limousin, France) I always go to the PM Bistro for good fresh food, warm atmosphere and the country setting. ||It's located just outside camping meteorite.||We always sit outside.
