Stayed here for 4 nights to do some cycling. Our room was spacious and clean, plus facilities for making drinks & a microwave.||||Its at the start of the Croix de Fer climb (9%!) and also links to La Toussuire, so its a great base to cycle from, plus Lacets & Glandon climbs are only a few Km's away.||||Great views from the windows, great cyclists breakfast, set us up for the day.||||Despite our lack of French, the hosts couldn't have been more helpful, with recommendations of places to eat & provided a useful map of all the climbs.||||We ate in St Jean, which was only a 5 min walk.||||There's plenty of places to eat & there's a big supermarket in the centre of town.||||If you need to hire a bike, then the Sport 2000 store rents them out, but my buddy couldn't get past the language barrier to organise one, so he hired from another shop in the town, but the ones in Sport 2000 were better.||||We also drove over to St Micheal de Maurrienne to ride the Galibier, as its only a short drive there too.||||The only issue was the WifI strength was a bit hit & miss||||All in all a great base to stay, either...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at Chambre d'Hotes Kiki & Coco for 4 nights in Jun 2013. The above garage apartment was just perfect for our needs. It was big enough for all our cycling gear, bikes and us!. Christine, the owner, was very pleasant and patient with our lack of French. The bed was comfortable, the shower large enough and with rain fall shower head. It was also great to have a mini kitchen with everything you could need (minus range &stove). Tea & coffee was provided along with some cleaning supplies. A large flat screen t.v. with cable and good internet were also included with the room. Also the location was good. Down to the town was only a 5-7 minute walk. The best part was the wonderful breakfast Christine would leave outside the door for you every morning. It was a perfect way to start the day before tackling the mountains on our bikes. I would love to visit this region again and stay at the Chambre d'Hotes...

The owners were very friendly and also gave my husband a lift into the centre of town as it was freezing. Fantastic value for money ... We didn't...
