Marina di Favone — Hotel in Sartène

This place is close to perfect. Everything is in good shape with A/C and has a nice, new and stylish look (Italien shower etc.). We had an appartement as a 4 headed family for 11 days in September. The area is lying next and very close to the nice and mostly clean sandy beach. Although a main road lies between beach and appartement area, at the beach and in the appartements you can hardly hear the traffic. Every appartement has its own veranda and a small piece of "garden" or at least balconies to enjoy your meals in the open. The units are seperate enough, so your neighbours are hardly to be seen. The area has a nice pool with a small poolbar, which is nice to have. Good to have free parking as well, since a car is strongly recommended and the next bigger supermarket a 10 min drive away. For bread etc. a small one is right across the street. Behind the houses you can start a nice walk, run or ride in a more hilly area heading to Conca. Although the house beach is pretty nice, some spots and maybe some nicer beaches around can be reached with the car in a couple of minutes. Don't expect too much from the village Favone itself, but if you want to have a nice beach or pool holiday, this place is great. As well it is central enough for excursions. The staff is extraordinary nice and helpful (Quentin). English is spoken and understood as well, in case your french is not that big deal. We are Vera and Oscar. It's a wonder to discover such a beautiful place eastern coast of Corsica, embraced between forest and turquoise waters of the sea. The house is sunny, quiet and comfortable, terrace spacious and superb views of the green and beautiful garden grove. Bed comfortable, quiet in October, perfect wifi, immense couch to feel good and sleep too. || Thank you very much Tashvin and Didi for your kindness, your unforgettable smile, your special attention in every detail for our well- being. You are adorable and our experience at Marina di Favone has been wonderful, your sweetness and special care made us feel at home! Ho soggiornato 10 giorni con la famiglia, a fine giugno, alloggiando in uno chalet trilocale. Ambienti ampi, luminosi, climatizzazione efficace, letti comodi (materasso in lattice) seppur alla francese, cucina recente e dotata di discreto corredo per cucinare, bagno ampio, bel patio esterno, spazi comuni curati, titolari tempestivi, privacy di livello, wifi free nella struttura. Piscina pulita, curata, lettini prendisole a disposizione, bar alla piscina comodo. A ridosso (50 metri!!) dalla bella baia di Favone, vicino ad alcuni ristorantini e negozietti che offrono l'indispensabile. Dista 13 km da Solenzara (nulla di che!!) e una trentina di km da Porto Vecchio (acchiappaturisti!!). Ottima soluzione per raggiungere le più belle spiagge della costa sudorientale; Santa Giulia, Rondinara, Fautea, Cannedda, Acciaru....si raggiungono in breve tempo. Aspetti negativi del soggiorno: Bagno privo di box doccia (grave per una struttura di livello come questa!!) e bidet (se vogliamo fare i francesi allora separiamo il water dalla stanza da bagno, oppure dato che c'e' spazio in abbondanza, mettiamo il bidet....così com'è non è ne carne ne pesce....); bello avere le rondini che cinguettano tutta la giornata, meno bello avere i loro nidi sopra alla porta d'ingresso e tutti i giorni dover rimuovere le feci. Chiaro...si può appoggiare al suolo un giornale e semplicemente rimuoverlo tutti i giorni.....certo che è una bella rottura.....così come la presenza di mosche, veramente massiccia (esistono trattamenti poco impattanti ed ecologici che risolverebbero il problema con poco sforzo).
