ibis Styles Strasbourg Stade de La Meinau — Hotel in Strasbourg

From the beginning, I knew there might be an issue. First, the site wouldn't allow me to book a room for just 1 adult and 1 child, so I ended up having to book a room for 2 adults under the special offer that Accor was putting on for its members. That meant that I was overcharged for not only the breakfast that should have been free for my child but also the tax for my stay that my child shouldn't have had to pay. Despite multiple emails to the hotel, I never got a response, and when I came to the hotel, the night manager told/lied to me that children had to pay for the tax, which wasn't true. I'm still waiting to be reimbursed by the hotel. I spoke to the hotel manager who assured me that I would be reimbursed, so we will see if that really happens and when- I still have no response to my email about that either. As for my double room, it was clean but small- basic is the best word for it- and the hotel had no family rooms available for our family of 4, so while it might have been nice to have a foozball table and pingpong table for the kids near the reception, I wasn't surprised that there were no kids at the hotel since the hotel didn't really seem set up for that. Having stayed several times with family at Ibis Styles Stade de la Meinau to visit another family member in the area, I can say that this hotel offers a consistently good experience. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Their assistance was especially appreciated when I became unwell during one of our stays; they provided support and care.|The hotel is clean, rooms are reasonably sized and beds comfortable. Bathrooms and showers are in good condition. I always miss having a kettle/coffee maker in the room but there is one in the reception area.|The main foyer/reception/breakfast and bar area is brightly decorated with a football theme, a nod to the Meinau stadium nearby. Breakfast is basic but good and all self service as you’d expect (yogurts, fruit, pastries, bread, cheese, ham, eggs etc) . Personál je zdvořilý a příjemný. Úklid na dobré úrovni. Pohodlná a měkká postel. Jídelnu a nádobí můžete využít ke večere s vlastním jídlem. K snídani je vynikající nakrájené uzeniny a dobrý sýr Brie. K dispozici je parkování - 1 noc 8 €.

Problémem všech pokojů je sprchový kout, který je velmi špatně řešený. Dohromady, nás žilo 10 lidí v 5ti pokojích a všude stejný problém. Sprchová kabina nemá zvýšené bočnice a samotná sprcha není uzavřena druhým pohyblivým sklem, protože ho prostě nejsou. Veškerá voda tedy ze sprchového koutu stéká na podlahu a z koupelny až do místnosti na koberec v pokoj. V důsledku toho jsou všude mokré podlahy a vlhkost. Jsem alergická na plísně. A celou noc jsem nemohla spát, protože se cítila že už v pokoji jsou plíseň, která mi bránila v dýchání.

Snídaně je hrůza! 😕 Jak můžete podávat syrová vejce, která si lidé musí uvařit sami? Vzniká tak velký dav lidí u stolů a lidé prostě nevaří vejce, aby neztráceli čas. Tedy vlastně snídaně bez vajec - snídaně bez bílkovin. Také není žádný tavený sýr, který by se dal namazat na chleba. Nejím máslo, takže mi dělá problém nedostatek taveného sýra, který je v jiných hotelech Ibis. Bylo by lepší zmenšit množství ovoce a přidat k snídani tavený sýr, pečivo a vařená vejce

Nejsou žádná mikrovlnná trouba k ohřátí vaší večeře k jídlu. Takové vybavení poskytují mnohem levnější možnosti hotelů řetězce Ibis 🫤 Poměr ceny a kvality není absolutně opodstatněný !!! 😒

Čekala jsem víc ☹️ The staff is polite and pleasant. Cleaning at a good level. Comfortable and soft bed. For breakfast there is a delicious cold cut and good Brie cheese. You can use the dining room and the dishes for dinner with your own food. Parking is available - 1 night €8.

The problem with all the rooms is the shower, which is very badly handled. Altogether, 10 of us lived in 5 rooms and everywhere the same problem. The shower cubicle does not have raised sides and the shower itself is not enclosed by a second movable glass, because there simply aren't any. So all the water from the shower drains onto the floor and from the bathroom into the room onto the carpet in the room. As a result, there are wet floors and moisture everywhere. I'm allergic to mold. And I couldn't sleep all night because I felt that there was already mold in the room, which was preventing me from breathing.

Breakfast is terrible! 😕 How can you serve raw eggs that people have to cook themselves? This creates a large crowd of people at the tables, and people simply do not cook eggs so as not to waste time. So actually a breakfast without eggs - a breakfast without proteins. There is also no processed cheese to spread on the bread. I don't eat butter, so the lack of processed cheese is a problem for me. It would be better to reduce the amount of fruit and add processed cheese, pastries and boiled eggs to breakfast.

There are no microwave ovens to heat your dinner to eat. Such facilities are provided by much cheaper options of hotels of the Ibis chain 🫤
