Fantastic Value, Wonderful Staff—But One Disappointing Experience
Résidence du Parc is excellent value for money—honestly, you get more than what you pay for. I would happily give it a 9.5 or even 10/10 for the price, cleanliness, and the friendliness and helpfulness of most of the staff.
One of the highlights was how the front desk team gave me great local tips, including a nearby bakery that saved me a fortune compared to Disneyland prices. They were also extremely kind and informative during check-in, making the process smooth and welcoming.
However, my one issue came when I needed a hairdryer. Booking.com lists it as an amenity, but there wasn’t one in my room. After searching, I called reception for over 10 minutes before someone answered. I understand that the front desk gets busy, but when I finally spoke to Gregory, he told me I would have to come down to get it. I explained that I was traveling alone with my four-year-old, who was already asleep, and couldn’t leave the room. He initially said he couldn’t leave the desk unattended, but then changed his mind and said he could bring it—just not for at least half an hour. By then, I needed to get to bed, so I had no choice but to wake my son and go down myself. Thankfully, he fell back asleep quickly, but the situation was frustrating.
What disappointed me most was Gregory’s response when I mentioned my frustration—he actually challenged me to complain to management or write a bad review. I used to work in hotel reception myself, and I know the job can be difficult, but this reaction was unprofessional.
That said, I want to stress that every other staff member was lovely, and the hotel itself was fantastic in almost every way. If you're traveling with another adult, this wouldn’t be an issue, but if you’re alone with a child, your experience might depend on who’s working that shift.
Overall, I’d still recommend the hotel for its value and friendly team—just be prepared for some...
Read moresuper disappointed with this place, never thought it was this bad… should have seen the reviews on google. poorly cleaned room, there was someone else's sweater under the sofa bed, extractor hood in the kitchen had the filter fabric all coming out so it's not safe, afraid we never turned on the extractor fan and had to keep the room smelling like food, they don't leave a dishcloth or any detergent to wash the dishes (we stayed 3 nights we had to use the dishes and go buy detergent and clean with a towel from the toilet). the space for breakfast is super small, there are large families, we stayed without a table fast, and the price does not compensate for the food that is served, 10 euros and there is no variety in the food. then on my last day to help I was able to completely see how the staff is arrogant towards the guests, the first was I came by the stairs (because there was only one service elevator which was being used by the staff to move the trolleys), so just coming from the stairs towards my room there were 4 staff people standing in the middle of the corridor near the elevator with their trolleys and I was trying to pass to the side of my room and I said “sorry” to have space to pass the lady looked at me and continued like a statue without letting me pass… after a while I was taking my bags outside and I was going to take the elevator and the doors opened and a lady from the staff came with her trolley to get out of the elevator and pushes the trolley for a few centimeters I was not under the trolley… so by this I mean that the staff has no respect or care for the guests, I never saw a smile from any member of the staff…
the only good thing about this space is just the location for those who want to go to Disney. but I don't think that makes up for the dirt and...
