I stayed at the Brit Hotel for 3 nights during a business trip. Checkin/Checkout was fast fast and problem free. All staff was very friendly and attentive. ||My room was clean, modern and had enough space. Bed was comfortable. Big flatscreen TV for those who use it. Bathroom with a nice towel heating and a nice shower with good water pressure. ||Breakfast was really outstanding at this hotel with so many things, sweet and salty, to choose from. I enjoyed this a lot and for me this is a reason to stay here the next time when I am in this area. Highlight is the fresh orange juice machine. Never have seen this anywhere else before. ||Location is convenient too. Close to the main road and just a few minutes by car to the Airport. A rail station is in a very short walking distance.||There are just two things I didn't like that much. First was the heating in the room which was not working that fine during my stay. I didn't figure out if there was something I could do, like a setting on the control unit or so, but it was a bit cold all the time. (I have to mention that I didn't ask the stuff for help, though). Second thing are the thin walls, which are obviously badly soundproofed. It's not always too nice to hear what's going on the rooms beside your own. ||Anyway, above all was the breakfast which makes me consider the Brit as a very...
Read moreI stayed here on a business trip in July 2012 for three nights. Although it is a decent hotel, with modern amenities and great room prices (breakfast inclusive), I found the rooms to be too small for a 3-week stay in Colomiers (and therefore I checked out on the 4th morning for a P&S Hotel in Cornebarrieu). The room is so cramped that it barely fits in a bed and a small study table. Not ideal for a long stay (at least wasnt for me). Breakfast is basic, and not a lot of options (Toasts, scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee - the usual european affair). The hotel is conveniently located, very close to most Airbus offices in Colomiers and Blagnac area. A short taxi drive to Toulouse (About 30 euros one way). Would rcommend for a long stay. Probably best for a a night or two max. Rooms - Small, with a small tv mounted on the wall (14-16"), good shower, clean, lack of space to move around, small cabinet for clothes (ideal for maximum 3 or 4 set of clothes tops), no iron or ironing board. Location - Close to a couple of convenience stores & a pub, hotel restaurant serves lunch & dinner, but I never tried (so cant comment of quality of food). Restaurant & supermarts - Carrefour is at walking distance (about 20 mins), so is a mcdonalds. Most shops/supermarkets close by 7 pm (Mon-Sat) and are...
Read moreStayed for one night at The Brit Toulouse. Brand new; in fact it's still being built (or upgraded?) as I write.||Positives..Nice and clean and quiet until workmen started drilling at 7.45 am.Very reasonable rates. Right across the street from a rail station. Friendly staff.||Negatives..Out of the way a bit. Trains and buses seem to stop running around 10 pm. and taxis are horrendously priced in Toulouse. Good place if you've got your own car. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The scramble egg was a bit dried up, sausages a rather vivid pink but the bread was fresh as was the...
