We booked a room(three of us) at the very beginning of the ski season 2021/2022. It was a two-room suite on the 3rd floor of Ire Palace Hotel.
Below are some pros and cons we’ve noticed while staying in the hotel.
Pros
Almost all of our requests were negotiable with staff/managers, though we had to put some effort into it.
Warm rooms - I would say even hot if you like and luckily can control heat. 🔥
Affordable ski rent in opposite to the hotel(no ski racks in the hotel itself, though).
Cons
In general, had a feeling that the Ire Palace hotel is not finished yet - something broken or not working, or still in process, however, we were informed that the hotel is operating for about 3 years already.
Since the room was close to the elevator, and because of thick doors(and the walls) plus the closing alarm sound from the elevator, it was very irritating and made it difficult to fall asleep.
Room cards occasionally stopped working for some of us, and we needed to replace them a couple of times.
A few of the staff members speak English or Russian - mainly managers.
Most of the time we had to wait for a lunch/dinner about 40 minutes - 1 hour through the buffet.
Something was fishy with electricity - it disappeared for some time and, the entrance door had to be opened manually, the fun process for us, though older people would have trouble opening these doors, I suppose.
Pretty cold on the lower floors(0, 1), including the canteen. Observed that waitresses had to bask near the radiators.
Not that thick room walls, so you can hear what do neighbors talk or scream about 😃.
In general Goderdzi Ski resort as we observed is for skiers who don’t like crowded tracks, and is perfect both for beginners and skilled skiers.
So I’ve personally enjoyed that very much. The skiing process, mountains, nature, and people around overshadowed all the listed cons above 🙃 ❤️
