During my family's stay at the hotel, we found the room and bathroom to be clean, which was a positive aspect. We absolutely loved the lounge area on the ground floor; it was simply lovely. It provided a perfect place to relax, play card games, and have conversations. It felt like a big living room, allowing us to spend quality time outside of our room while still feeling comfortable and at ease. It was a wonderful addition to our stay and made our family bonding time even more enjoyable. However, we encountered an issue with the air conditioning in our room, as it seemed to function more like a fan and may have been broken, resulting in an uncomfortable sleep during the night.
On the bright side, the hotel's location was great, offering a peaceful and calm environment, and we enjoyed spending time at the nice bar. The breakfast selection was great, with plenty of options to choose from. However, we felt that the breakfast was quite expensive, and the restaurant prices were also on the higher side.
Despite the issues we faced, the hotel's location and amenities were noteworthy, and we hope the management can address the air conditioning concern to enhance the overall experience for...
Read moreThere really is nothing physically wrong with this property. A nice looking property that is not really old and with decent facilities. Guest rooms are a bit small but appropriate for the Mercure brand and quit well appointed and A/C that works.||No, the issues are all related how this property is run. The rooms, especially the bathrooms are simply not clean, with dirty toilets and mold on the tile. The wall mounted shampoo container was empty upon arrival and never replenished. If one takes a closer look at the overall quality of housekeeping in the rooms, once comes to the conclusion that it really is quite terrible. |The carpets in the public areas are dirty and in desperate need of shampooing or replacing. The property has a " great room" that is used for meetings and get togethers. But it is also used for screaming children early in the morning, although this room is surrounded by an atrium arrangement with many guest rooms.||Net, net - this property needs to either step up or find a new management company. ||The only positive I can come up with is that the front desk staff is friendly...
Read moreWe had room 143. The safe was broken, the air conditioning didn't work on a very hot weekend. The shower water took ages to drain away. The maid just knocked & came in even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door. Its out in the middle of no where, so not very convenient for anything apart from the golf course next door. The breakfast was a plenty, but the "fresh fruit" was actually frozen as I found out when I bite into a frozen centre strawberry. But one great positive thing was the gluten free bread rolls were amazing, which ever company outside the hotel makes these, they are just divine. One English channel on the tv, things were blocked. No tea or coffee in the room, it was in the hall area by reception, but sometimes the water boiler was not on, so couldn't get any hot water. Coffee was very bitter. It was definatley not a 4 star hotel...
