Rheinischer Hof — Hotel in Leverkusen

I have to admit that my stay at this hotel was rather strange though the night was OK.||||The trouble started when we arrived - the location of the hotel was good for us since it is not far away from the Ford plant in Cologne. The reception of the hotel was an old office table in a messy and smoke filled room. We were told that we will not sleep in this house but in a newly built hotel about 2km away.||||So we checked in and then were guided to the new location following one of the staff members in his car. The new location was a new hotel with still the smell of construction. Breakfast was however in the old hotel again... so back into the car. Also the restaurant in the new hotel was not opened yet - so no dinner.||||What I liked||- large rooms||- nice and bright bathroom||- Free WiFI with an acceptable speed||- Very large flatscreen TV (really nice)||- Modern technology such as automatic roller shutters||- balcony||- setup in quiet residential area||- free parking||||What I did not like||- breakfast in a 2km away older hotel||- restaurant in the hotel closed||- mattress in the bed though new seems to be very low quality||- no bedside lamps (only the ceiling room lamp) ||- smell of construction still visible including the fine white dust||- very unpersonal feeling of the room ... no flowers, nothing||- breakfast below my expectations and cleaningness at the breakfast rather questionable||- request to put in PIN for the credit card AND sign for the hotel bill... strange||||For 100 EUR / night the stay was OK (all normal hotels I usually stay were...

Da wir im vorherigen Hotel leider nicht verlängern konnten, weil sie ausgebucht waren, sind wir in dieses Hotel umgezogen. Ich verlange von einem Hotel echt nicht viel. Aber Sauberkeit ist mir das wichtigste.

In den Ecken waren überall sehr viele Spinnweben, die da wahrscheinlich schon ewig waren/sind. Die hätte man ruhig wegmachen können.

Das Bad war unfassbar klein. In der Dusche hat man fast Platzangst bekommen, weil man sich kaum drehen konnte. Das Waschbecken hatte einen Riss. Die Dusche selbst war auch in die Jahre gekommen & an den Ecken dreckig & abgenutzt.

Im Bad war es auch nicht wirklich umweltfreundlich. Plastikbecher, eingehüllt in Plastik. Darin waren jeweils 2 kleine Proben von Shampoo/Duschgel-Gemisch, die nicht gereicht hätten, wenn man sie hätte benutzen müssen.

Es gab zu wenig Steckdosen. Wir waren zu dritt & hatten insgesamt nur 4 Steckdosen zur Verfügung. 2 am Bett - wovon eine von der einzigen Nachttischlampe besetzt war. & 2 an einem Verlängerungskabel, welches zwar über die Tür hinweg verlegt war, dann allerdings einfach Unter dem Fernseher runterhing.

Die Tapete war, wie man auf manchen Fotos erkennen kann, sehr unruhig. Schwarz grau weiß gestreift. Wenn man zu lange drauf geguckt hat, hatte man Gefühl die Tapete bewegt sich. Unangenehm.

Die Betten waren an einigen Stellen schon recht durchgelegen & die Bettränder schon sehr durchgesessen.

Als wir gehen 23 Uhr zurück vom Konzert ins Hotel kamen, saßen im Restaurant lautstarke betrunkene Männer, die uns Mädels etwas Angst gemacht haben..die haben wir bis ins Zimmer gehört.

Als wir am nächsten Tag gegen 12 ausgecheckt sind, wurden uns gesagt, dass man schon seit über einer Stunde auf uns wartet, da der Check Out nur bis 11 sei. In unserer Email allerdings steht das der Check Out bis 12 ist. Vielleicht sollte man da nochmal genauer gegenchecken oder die Gäste beim einchecken darauf hinweisen, wann denn nun genau Check Out ist.

Für eine Nacht es akzeptabel. Nochmal würde ich dort jedoch nicht schlafen wollen.

Was ich aber sagen kann - die Frau, die es dort leitet ist sehr...

We get advice to make reservation for this quite hotel, because it was near Cologne and Leverkusen. We came about midnight, but kind owners were waiting to wish us welcome. Hotel is placed in very nice and quite area. Old stile restaurant, all hotel and especially very kind hotel stuff, made us feel like at home.
