Hotel Reutiner Hof — Hotel in Lindau (Bodensee)

My friend and I were directed to this hotel because our first choice was unavailable. We were visiting the EuroBike 2006 fair, and needed a place to stay. The Reutinerhof isn't the worst place in the world, but clearly they don't have to try very hard to get customers from the local fair business. We shelled out 70+ euros a night for nothing more than a bare-bones room with a double bed, a shower that flooded the bathroom because the shower curtain was far too short and the rail stuck out further than the shower tray, and a breakfast that was nothing more than the basic bit of muesli and bread rolls with a bit of cheese and salami. Stayed here for three nights.Very basic and expensive for what you get. |Reading the good reviews, people wrote, they had a spacious room with balcony and delicious breakfast.We must have dipped out then!|Our room was small, with a minute shower and toilet cupboard room, the washbasin was outside this area in the bedroom. Selbst 1 Stern ist da zu viel. Jedes Motel in den USA ist besser als dieses "Hotel". Badezimmer ist mit einer Person überfüllt, Fliesen aus dem 2. Weltkrieg, schmutzig, Urinstein am Silikon der Toilette, Haare vom Vorgänger/in auf der Matratze, gut 1 cm Staub unter dem Bett! Balkon versifft, Stühle und Tisch aus billigem Plastik vom Baumarkt (Obi & Co. gibts die für 10€) und nicht einmal die bringen sie sauber. Hausmeister lief die ganze Woche mit gut 1,5 Promille durchs Haus (Alkohol Gestank war pervers) dazu kommt noch so ein kleiner Hund den er überall mithin schleppt (obwohl wir vorher noch gefragt hatten hat uns die dicke Tante an der Rezeption gesagt das es keine Tiere im Haus gibt weil meine Frau gegen Hundehaare allergisch ist. Nächstes Problem ist der winzige Parkplatz. Die "Hotel" Besitzer haben links ein Restaurant vermietet und rechts ein Wettbüro wo ich gleich noch zum nächsten Minuspunkt komme. Alle teilen sich einen Parkplatz mit ca. 15 Stellplätze wobei manche Stellplätze nur von einem Smart genutzt werden können, mit einem Kombi kommt man beim raus fahren nicht um das Eck vom Gebäude. Nun das Wettbüro. Bis 23 Uhr läuft dort mit abnormal lauter Geräuschkulisse türkische Musik, dazu das grölen der Gäste gerade wenn ein Fussballspiel läuft und das ist so gut wie jeden Abend so, italienische/türkische/deutsche Liga, Leichtathletik und und und. Ein Zimmer darf da nicht mehr als 25€ kosten. Ich kann jeden nur warnen da einzuchecken - jede Jugendherberge ist besser.
