As we entered the facility, the strong odours of fresh Italian cuisine overwhelmed our noses and whole bodies. There the positive experience ended. The host was the woman of the family, extremely impatient, and gave us, me and my friend, the feeling that she just wanted to get on with us. She was very strict and unpleasant. After that unpleasant encounter, the host insisted we don't carry all our bags all at once (3 bags, no problem) because she didn't want us to scratch the walls. Later on, we met met a girl friend, who visited us in the hotel. Next time the host saw us (some family member of hers told her that the girl showed up with us), she went right away to ask if the girl will stay, we said that we weren't sure, and she said that it is important to pay her if she does. This was all in all strange for me, as after I order my room, it is my accomodation, and if I meet a girlfriend, she may join me whenever however as long as the neighbours are not disturbed. But just in case, (maybe customs there are different) we complied and paid in advance. I was told dinner was amazing, but I wasn't there. So the review is solely on the hotel. The hotel didn't give us an extra bed/extra linen/ extra blanket for the lady even though we paid in advance. The hotel had no WIFI, the toilet paper was hidden in the closet and not on the toilet paper device. There was one small one-use personal shampoo. When asked to postpone the checkout from 11AM, the answer was "Not even by 10 minutes!". Inevitably, I was the last one in the room, and stayed until 11:08AM, wheres at 11:00AM the cleaning lady entered the room, while I was there, started talking to me angrily, and started cleaning, while I was there doing finishing touches. That was quite unpleasant. The view in the room was very pleasant, but to those who don't like noises, the big bell of the town is right on top of the hotel, and it rings every 15 min, I actually quite liked the authenticity. All that cost us 90 Euros, and 40 more for the lady. After the stay, I told the hostess that I strongly advice them to install WIFI, at which point she told me that it was absolutely unacceptable to not pay for another guest. That was our experience, I hope you find it useful and that it helps you make an educated decision.

Preis/Leistung?

Some of the prior reviews do not give an accurate representation of the hotel. Some are negative, but our experience was quite the opposite.

The hotel is located in a quiet but pictureasque german wine village, right next to the main church. The hotel itself has an Italian feel to it and is also run by an italian (accompanied with an Italian restaurant). We only stayed 1 night but enjoyed it. The beauty of this hotel is in its rustic simplicity and authenticity.

The staff is what you would expect from Italians, they are charming in their own way. I agree that the staff may come off as “direct”, but if you are not too sensitive this is actually quite nice. My mother really liked the plates and the lovely staff offered us the plates.

The food was nice, they offer real stone-oven pizza’s, they were delicious. The breakfast was simple but nice. We had bread with butter, ham, Swiss cheese, melon with ham and hard boiled eggs.

The room was simple but did what it had to do, it was nice and cozy and we got a good night of sleep.

Don’t take the other reviews too serious. If you’re not an oversensitive snowflake, this hotel is totally fine. Authentic food, authentic staff and an authentic stay. The beauty is its...

This is primarily a restaurant which also provides rooms. There is no dedicated reception and there are limited check-in / card payment and breakfast times. The house is charming, the rooms are clean and spacious - the furniture style is to be an acquired taste. The parking is unfortunately not directly attached to the house as advertised but some hundred meters down the road (but free). Breakfast times (on a Sunday) was only from 9am to 10am and there was no choice but a prepared table with lukewarm coffee. Card payment was only possible in the evening when the restaurant was open. I cannot judge on the quality of the restaurant. The price is rather high - therefore I can only give a...
