we spent one week end in june in this hotel|our room was spacious and well laid out with a superb view of the park. the bed was very comfortable. the room was spotless except for the coffestation. housekeeping forgot to wash the spoons and empty the used sugar sticks which were nestled in between the new ones. this can happen and since everything was impeccably clean one could tell this was just overlooked by accident. |the hotel is situated in a park like neighbourhood , plenty of parking and the grounds are well|kept and illuminated at night, so we always felt safe. we came by car and it was easy to find once you left the autobahn. |we were greeted already outside by a friendly doorman, who offered help with luggage right away. |breakfast on the first day was rather chaotic, and we left after 25 minutes without any food. we did manage to get a table, but the lines to the different stations were unbelievably long and i am visibly handicapped using a walker. after 20 minutes in line at the cooked-to-order eggstation i gave up and returned to our table where my husband who wanted to get fruit and joghurt and coffee for us had only managed to get two cups of coffee. the few service people were stressed cleaning tables and it was clear that they were overwhelmed by the amount of people. we were disappointed to start the day like that and decided to scratch this hotel from our frankfurt list. on the way back to the room i stopped by the front desk to let them know how great the room was but that we weren’t planning to come back because of what we experienced at the breakfast room. i talked to Laura and it was such a great conversation. too much to write here, but she represented the hotel in a professional and sincere way that we booked another stay for 7 nights in july today. |the second day the breakfast situation was perfect, but the hotel was not booked out then. we had omelets and fruit, coffee and juice. perfect! there is a wide variety of foods offered, buffet style, all fresh and delicious. |the lounge was was also super. it got replenished whenever needed, the food offerings were served in small jars, different salads, small bowls of hot food eg chicken teriyaki on sticks, small egg rolls, different cheeses and rolls and baguette. we did not drink any alcohol but you could chose from different wines, bubblies, beers, water, softdrinks and juices. i also saw gin and tonic waters. everything spic and span and the food was presented in an appetizing way. the atmosphere in the lounge was very relaxing. |the park invites you for a stroll at any time of the day. |last i want to mention the indoor and outdoor pools. both are big pools, not only on the pictures, but in reality. big and beautiful and inviting. the grass area around the outdoor pool was well maintained with plenty of lounge chairs and excellent service. |i did not use the spa or fitness room, but we overheard people raving about them. |i can t think of anything to improve other than to make sure that if the hotel is booked out to put plenty of service people on breakfast shift. |i want to recommend this hotel not only for a week end get away but also for extended stays. |sometimes it pays to talk nicely to the front desk people when you experience a problem, most genuinely care and try to fix it. in our case i declined any offers of free drink or whatever. i wanted to get my disappointment of my chest and after the talk to Laura, i left happily. no free hand outs needed if you have a great...

We spent our second stay at the Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch within a month after spending an initial two-night stay to check out the hotel. We were so impressed by the hotel staff that we booked our second stay immediately after our first trip, and now we are here for a two-week stay (review to follow), culminating in three stays for a total of 23 days over an eight-week period. We think our desire to keep coming back to the hotel sums up our impressions. We love it.

First a few areas that some guests might find less than satisfactory. The hotel is near the Frankfurt (FRA) airport, so jets are always flying over; however, one gets used to it, and it does not bother us. The hotel has not been renovated recently, and some of the furniture shows some wear and tear on the wood, but the hotel common areas and rooms are well maintained and meticulously cleaned.

Our first day at breakfast we were greeted by Martina, and we chatted a bit. Martina greeted us by name the next day and even remembered our room number. It might sound unimportant to some guests, but it makes us feel at home. My wife is handicapped and uses a walker to get around. Ivana noticed her difficulty moving around and through the breakfast area, and the next day she had placed a reserved sign on the table that was easiest for my wife to use and had room to "park" her walker. So we always have a reserved table for breakfast without ever having to complain or even mention it. Ivana saw a guest problem and rectified it. Like home!

On our first visit to the Executive Lounge, my wife was having trouble getting food from the buffet. As soon as the guests saw staff carry in food, it was a mad rush to the buffet, and my wife and I had trouble getting something to eat. Hassbullan, a young waiter, noticed what was happening and every time he brought in fresh food for the buffet, he first came to our table and gave us a few dishes before placing the rest on the buffet. Thoughtfulness at every turn!

The overriding factor that first drew us to this hotel is the beautiful spa area. It has an indoor pool and saunas along with a variety of sitting and lounging options inside and outside. The outdoor area is where we spend most of our time with plenty of lounge chairs, arranged both in the sun and under shade trees and umbrellas. Relaxation!

We have had many problems over the years in different hotel chains getting housekeeping to clean our room while we are not there. Here one simply has to turn on the switch that allows housekeeping to enter the room and leave. We have returned to the room after 30 minutes to find that it has been serviced. No Stress!

Many European hotels have air conditioning systems that cannot cope with the high temperatures that have become ubiquitous in the summer months. It was over 30 degrees outside, but our room remained a pleasant temperature. Comfortable!

Normally, I would end this review stating that we will definitely return. However, we have already returned and a review for our third stay will be...

We stayed at Hilton Gravenbruch for celebrating my husband’s birthday and we absolutely loved it! This will be the longest review I’ve ever written because there are so many great things about this hotel :) The hoteliers were very attentiven when we were checking in and the lobby and overall corridors of the hotel are beautiful. Even in winter, the garden still looked very nice. Also the bathroom was so big, also the bathtub. There were no amenities like cottons, brush, or tiny plastic stuff they normally have in hotels, but it was okay for us. You can also connect TV with phone. The birthday cake they have prepared was so delicious and even big enough for 4-6 ppl portion, which was a pleasant surprise. The swimming pool area was also very nice, beautiful ceiling and very well structured resting areas! We are looking forward to come back when the weather gets warmer because the lounge areas looked so stylish and cozy. The spa facility was a bit disappointing, there were 7 spa facilities but only 2 were working. However, the lady turned on the damp sauna for us when we inquired and it worked fine. There were people wearing swimsuits in the sauna despite the multiple signs mentioning not to but the lady in the reception also helped us to inform them. The outdoor spa area was also nice and cozy, we just wish the outdoor sauna was working. The dinner at the hotel restaurant EssTisch was also amazing. We loved the atmosphere, food was excellent and the waitresses were so attentive and polite, we had such wonderful time thanks to them! (I’m asian so when I praise that someone is polite, it really does mean they are so polite and respectful) Lastly, the breakfast buffet was exceptional. So many healthy options, excellent quality of food, diverse selection of honey and jams, I’ve never seen tea section in hotel that has fresh ginger and mint prepared. We highly recommend this hotel. We are still amazed that we had such wonderful stay and breakfast with affordable price. Cheers to Hilton Gravenbruch 🥂
