We stayed here on our last night in Germany because the traffic is so unpredictable there and we didn’t want to miss our flight. It was a short drive to the airport so it works out well. The hotel is really beautiful inside, stunning in fact! The cleanliness is amazing. We thought the room price was great considering it was so well kept inside and out. |Our room even though it was dated was in really good condition, clean very clean. |My only complaint would be they don’t have provisions for a simple cup of coffee in the room or lobby. They have a full service restaurant but they only serve a buffet breakfast which was 13 euro extra and I don’t like the German breakfast but I did want a coffee. I got two coffees by walking to the kitchen and it cost me 6 euro in a small to go cup. The staff was very professional and nice. I asked about the closest town to shop and it was also a very short drive to the city center of Erding. That was an amazing small town with loads of shops. The holiday markets were in full swing and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. In the summer this hotel is probably beautiful outdoors as well with a lovely courtyard. They also have a large parking lot...
Read moreWe chose this hotel based on proximity to the airport and price.....we could have saved money and actually slept better at the airport terminal. It's currently 2:00 A.M. and I'm writing this review since sleep is impossible. The hotel is hosting an event with incredibly loud music that is inescapable and neverending. It's also hot, but here's the catch-22.... to cool down one should open a window, but then the music is even louder, along with the road noise and party patrons. I did complain to some poor waitress at the hotel restaurant ( the only person near the lobby when I complained at 1:15) and the DJ responded by turning down the bass....a little. ||||Hotel Kandler seems quiet and quaint, the foods is even good, but if sleep is what you seek.... you'd be better off going elsewhere, perhaps a dumpster behind a strip mall, the airport terminal, or your rental car in an...
Read moreMy family and I booked two rooms here for a night before leaving for the airport in the morning. As soon as we got in the rooms we noticed that there weren’t any vents. There isn’t any airflow throughout the building. If there isn’t a breeze at night opening the windows doesn’t give any relieve from the heat. Also if you leave a light on your room it soon fills up with bugs and mosquitoes.|At 11 pm the reception closes and there aren’t any cold drinks available in the whole place. It’s a bad situation and I’m writing this to prevent others to fall for the reasonable rates.|We paid $115 per room including breakfast. |Not worth losing a nights sleep in a sweat box. We don’t have expect refrigerated air in hotels in Europe but you should get some circulation of air...
