Road House Hotel — Hotel in Paderborn

This hotel (really a motel) aims to strip away everything you don't need so that you pay only for what you do need. It achieves its goal. My single room was clean and functional, and I had a free place to park my car, but there was no reception desk and no human on duty when I arrived around midnight. I got my room key from an automated kiosk. In-room wifi worked well enough, but it was configured to detect and prevent streaming videos. ||||The room design might be called prison cell chic, but it also reminded me strongly of a dorm room. There was a single bed, a chair, a work surface, a standing fan, and a sink in the room. The toilet was in one closet-like alcove, and the shower in another. Good value for the price. Enough spacious parking available. Check in can be done in the restaurant or self service. Staff during check in was friendly, process was quick and uncomplicated. There are three vending machines, offering hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks for reasonable prices, however mind that only coins are accepted for payment. There’s also a small well maintained gym. Room was modern and generally well maintained, not sparkling clean but good (8 out of 10).

Downs might be that some parts in the bathroom could get replaced or deep cleaned (nothing serious) and missing air conditioning (gets quite hot in the upper floor). A fan was provided though and windows can be fully opened. The blanket could be bigger and 100% cotton sheets would be my personal preference.

Klartext, das ist eigentlich ein "Automatenhotel" man checkt über einen Automaten ein, der hat aber am Wochenende 21-23.10.2022 einen Defekt. Checkin über Roadhause Restaurant. Gut : Einfach zu Buchen, - bezahlen, Zimmer Studio S1 trotz Erdgeschoß und Richtung Parkplatz super leise und schallgedämmt. Man hört keine Autos von draußen, kaum Geräusche aus dem Flur oder Nachbarzimmer. Und jetzt das weniger positive: Dusche, - Duschkonsole mit Seitenduschen verkalkt, teilweise tröpfelt es nur, schlechte dosierung warm / kalt. Handbrause war neu und funktioniert gut. - Da muss dringend eine Reinigung oder Klemper ran.. wenn da soviel Kalk ist, sollte ggf eine Enthärtungsanlage da rein. (Halber Stern Abzug) Zu den Betten und dem rest.. noch n halben Stern abzug.. Positiv, nicht zu weich, nicht zu fest, punktelastisch. Ich kenne Hotels da sind Matratzen bei denen ich das Gefühl hab auf Beton zu liegen.. Diese hier sind okay von Härte /Weich. Aber. - Das sind 2 80cm Matratzen, viel zu schmal und die haben die eigenschaft zu rutschen. Bin des Nachts aufgewacht, da war die Matratze zu einem Viertel von der Box gerutscht.. - So sollte das nicht sein, ansonsten wenn man auf der Seite liegt, ist meist ein Knie draußen, wird kalt und man ist wach.. ziemlich unlustig. Alleine kann man auf einem 160 er pennen aber zu zweit ist das ne Herausforderung wenn man länger als 180cm ist. Insgesamt keine schlechte Bleibe für 1-2 Nächte, mit breiteren, rutschfesten Matratzen und ner kalkfreien Dusche ist das Ding okay..

Wenn schon so amerikanisch dann richtig. - In einem US-Motel sind die Betten etwas breiter oder es gibt 2 Queensize.. wenn man das machen will - dann bitte richtig!!!

leider bietet das RoadHouse Restaurant kein Frühstück an - öffnet erst ab 1100, - ein Kaffee, Hashbrowns, Scrambled Eggs so richtig amerikanisches Frühstück wäre schön..

So muss man sich irgendwo ein Bäcker oder Frühstückscafe suchen.. Nicht ganz so lustig.

Fazit, für ne Nacht oder 2 ne annehmbare leiser Platz.. am besten alleine. Zu zweit muss man schon eng kuscheln.. Das RoadHouse Restaurant bewerte ich mal separat. Das ist ein...
